INTRODUCTION
PART 2We are continuing in our research of the book of Mormon and are studying whether or not Jesus came to America. Now we are looking into several different statements made on the introduction page of the book of Mormon. The first sentence of the second paragraph says "The book was written by many ancient prophets by the spirit of prophecy and revelation".
How do we know? I just performed a search on www.biblegateway.com and the phrase "the spirit of prophecy and revelation" does not occur anywhere in the entire bible. See for yourself.
The book of Mormon - introduction
search result for the spirit of prophecy and revelation
However, take a look at this verse.
Revelation 19:10
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
As you can see, there is the phrase "spirit of prophecy" located in the book of Revelation. It is referring to the gift of holy spirit upon certain believers in the old testament and gospel periods.
Do you see how close the counterfeit is to the truth? As you will see in part 3 of this investigative report, the book of Mormon did not come from "the spirit of prophecy and revelation".
Did the Nephites and Jaredites even exist?
Let's look at another statement to see if its true or not."Their words, written on gold plates, were quoted and abridged by a prophet-historian named Mormon. The record gives an account of two great civilizations. One came from Jerusalem in 600 B.C. and afterward separated into two nations, known as the Nephites and the Lamanites".
In Part 1, we've also already proven extensively that there were no lamanites, or laman, but what about the "nephites"? We have already proven that Nephi is a small city in Utah, and not a person, so the Nephites, as referred to in the introduction page of the book of Mormon, do not exist either, [except in modern times as residents of the city of Nephi, Utah USA - population in 2000 was 4,733 people].
Does "nephite" even exist in the dictionary? Let's find out!
LOL!
This is a totally bogus word that the dictionary does not even recognize as a valid word!!!
Look inside the red box at upper edge of the image: You see, "misspelling?term=nephite..."
Since the Nephites have proven to be a 100% Mormon fabrication = a lie, then how can we trust the book of Mormon?!
How many MORE lies are there?!
How many MORE lies are there?!
Let's see what the book of Mormon says about itself in the screenshot below taken directly from the LDS.org website.
The book of Mormon, chapter 8, verse 12.
By definition, "imperfections" has to include at least 2 [probably more], so now the book of Mormon openly admits there are at least 2 imperfections!!
Since we have already proven at least one lie [imperfection], then we know there is at least one more lie!!
And people base their lives on this?!?!
John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father [originator] of it.
The devil is the ultimate source of lies and at least 2 of them are in the book of Mormon.
Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:
Since God cannot lie, and there are at least 2 lies in the book of Mormon, then by definition and the laws of logic, God cannot be the author of the book of Mormon.
Therefore, "The book was written by many ancient prophets by the spirit of prophecy and revelation" has to refer to a devil spirit and NOT the holy spirit of God = another lie.
Joseph Smith said that the book of Mormon was the most correct book on earth, knowing there were imperfections in it. That moves the book of Mormon beyond an inferior religious book that openly admits its imperfections into the category of deliberate religious fraud.

John 17:17
Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth [and NOT the book of Mormon].
- How MANY lies are in the book of Mormon?
- Where are they located?
- What are they about?
- Is my salvation based upon them?
- How serious is this problem?
- Are you confused yet?
- Are you scared?
- Are you doubting your entire belief system now?
- What is going on here?!

Matthew 7:20
Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
definition of jaredite
noun
1. (in Mormon belief) a member of a tribe of people who settled America after the dispersal at Babel.
Origin of Jaredite
Jared + -ite 1
Did you see that? The dictionary only acknowledges the existence of the word because they are repeating what the Mormons told them to say, but they cannot verify its meaning themselves.
The second paragraph of the book of Mormon also mentions the Jaredites.
Since the Mormons believe that the Jaredites were in Israel after the dispersal at the tower of Babel, they should be mentioned somewhere in the bible, right?
Wrong!
See for yourself in the screenshot below.
What about the Encyclopedia Britannica, doesn't it mention the Jaredites?
Case closed.
The book of Mormon was first translated into english in 1830. It is now 2023. The book of Mormon, even after 193 years, over 150 million copies being printed in well over 100 different countries and having been translated into dozens upon dozens of languages, no credible authority acknowledges the existence of the Jaredites or Nephites.
However, the name "jared" does occur 6 times in the bible.
The name "Jared" is used 6 times in the bible
As you can see, the only places the name "Jared" is used in the bible are: Genesis 5:15, 16, 18-20 and Luke 3:37 [where the genealogy of Jesus Christ is listed].
Luke 3
37 Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,
38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.
Jared is the 6th generation away from Adam and in the bible 6 is the number of man as he is influenced by Satan, so evil is indicated here. Plus the name of Jared is mentioned 6 times also, so we have evil doubled or established.
Corroborating this is the fact that in Genesis 5:20, it says all the days of Jared were 962 years.
Mathematically, some of the factors of 962 are 13 x 74.
13 in the bible is the number of rebellion and with 74, if you add up the digits 7 + 4 = 11, the number of disorder, disorganization, imperfection, and disintegration.
Another factor of 962 is 481; if you add up the digits 4 + 8 + 1 = 13 again, rebellion established.
All of the factors of 962 are: 1 + 2 + 13 + 26 + 37 + 74 + 481 = 634. Now add up 6 + 3 + 4 = 13 for a third time!
13 is also the 6th prime number...
So with Jared, we have:
- Rebellion tripled
- Satanic influences tripled
- Disintegration, disorder, disorganization and imperfection once
In light of the fact that the Jaredites are not mentioned in the bible, the dictionary or the encylopedia, what do you think?
Let's get the correct history and understanding of this from God's word.
Genesis 5:1
This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
All that can be known of the Jared mentioned in the bible is recorded in only 6 verses in the book of Genesis and once in the gospel of Luke.
Genesis 5
15 And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat Jared:
16 And Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years, and begat sons and daughters:
17 And all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety and five years: and he died.
18 And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat Enoch:
19 And Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years, and begat sons and daughters:
20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty and two years: and he died.
So Jared did have sons and daughters, but we do not know how many since the bible does not tell us. However, since it does say "sons and daughters", by definition, there had to have been at least 2 sons and 2 daughters, so Jared had a minimum of 4 children.
Even if there were a race of people called the Jaredites, they would've all been destroyed by the flood in Noah's time and there would be no way to ever verify their existence.
Now we move onto the generations of Noah.
Genesis 6
9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.
10 And Noah begat three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
Genesis 7
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.
19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.
21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.
23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.
Again, how can we trust the book of Mormon?!
Did Jesus Christ come to America in his resurrected body?
Let's look at another paragraph in the introduction."The crowning event recorded in the Book of Mormon is the personal ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ among the Nephites soon after His resurrection. It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come".
How many errors are there in the book of Mormon??? At the rate we're going, there could be thousands!
Since the Nephites never existed, it would be impossible for Jesus to have visited them. Therefore, the belief that Jesus visited them [in America] is a lie also.
Furthermore, even if they did exist, Jesus never would have visited them in the first place, since that would have contradicted his mission to Israel.
While we're on the subject of Jesus visiting America, let's tackle this issue head on with the word of God.
Did Jesus really come to America?
"The Book of Mormon tells of the resurrected Jesus Christ and His visit to His faithful followers in ancient America. After His visits to His disciples in the Old World, He descended out of heaven and appeared to His followers in ancient America.
The Book of Mormon describes how, during His visit, Jesus Christ healed their sick, taught them His gospel, blessed their children, and called twelve disciples to organize His Church in the Americas (3 Nephi 11:18; 3 Nephi 12:1-2)".
This sounds so religious and wonderful, doesn't it? Notice the words and the language used throughout the book of Mormon - it sounds so similar to the bible. There's a reason for that: because Satan cannot create anything new, but he is a master counterfeiter if there ever was one.
What does the bible say about the geographical boundaries of Jesus Christ's ministry?
Matthew 10
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles [people in America!], and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles [people in America!], and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Can this be any clearer? The mission of the 12 disciples was an extension of Jesus' ministry, so he was bound by these rules as well. He clearly and emphatically told them NOT to go to the gentiles [any other nations outside of Israel] AND to only go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. That leaves absolutely no room for errors, misinterpretations, doubt, confusion, etc. In other words:
* Do not go outside of Israel
* Only go TO Israel
As workmen of God's word, and in accordance with Acts 17:11, let's verify this!
Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Greek lexicon of Matthew 10:5 From here, go to the Strong's column, link #1484
Definition of gentiles
Strong's Concordance #1484
ethnos: a race, a nation, plural. the nations (as distinct from Israel.)
Part of Speech: Noun, Neuter
Phonetic Spelling: (eth' -nos)
Definition: a race, people, nation; the nations, heathen world, Gentiles.
HELPS Word-studies
1484 ethnos (from etho, "forming a custom, culture") - properly, people joined by practicing similar customs or common culture; nation(s), usually referring to unbelieving Gentiles (non-Jews).
In other words, do not go to any non-jewish country [which means the rest of the world]!
Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
This corroborates what Jesus told the disciples - he was sent ONLY TO ISRAEL, AND NOT ANYWHERE ELSE!
It only takes one verse in the bible to destroy an entire book of lies.
Mark 12:29
And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
This is more proof that Jesus was sent only to Israel - he is speaking to Israel, not to any other people.
John 1:49
Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
John 12:13
Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Romans 15:8
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
The word "circumcision" is a reference to Israel, who are also called, the circumcision made without hands.
There is no record in the entire bible of Jesus going to any county other than Israel, so the idea that he went to America is a lie from hell!
HOW TO RIGHTLY DIVIDE JOHN 10:16
John 1014 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
These 4 verses in John do not mention any city, country, race of people, or any geographical location. Therefore, the idea that they are referring to people in America is nothing but somebody's baseless opinion.
Adding, changing or subtracting from the word of God is explicitly forbidden by holy scripture.
Adding, changing or subtracting from the word of God is explicitly forbidden by holy scripture.
Then what do we have? Nothing but the opinions of men and christians fighting and arguing amongst themselves, which is exactly what Satan wants. He doesn't even need to attack us directly if he can get us to attack each other.
So what is the answer? Again, we must go back to what God's word says, think simply and logically, and believe what God said.
Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Based on the fact that 7 very simple and clear verses of scripture are all in agreement that Jesus was sent ONLY TO ISRAEL AND NOWHERE ELSE, the other sheep of John 10:16 have to be located within the borders of Israel!
However, we can get more details of this and solidify this truth.
In verse 16, the word for other is the Greek word allos, which simply means another of the same kind. 2 different sources confirm this: The companion reference bible by E.W. Bullinger and Vines.
Check out the 2 screenshots from the companion reference bible below:
Vine's Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words on "other"
Allos expresses a numerical difference and denotes "another of the same sort;" heteros expresses a qualitative difference and denotes "another of a different sort."
If these other sheep were of a different type [from a foreign country (other than Israel), such as America], then the Greek word "heteros" would have been used.
The english word "heterosexual" comes from, in part, the Greek word "heteros", and refers to two different kinds or types of people [men and women], for example.
Definition of heterosexual
ORIGIN OF HETERO-
Combining form of Greek héteros the other of two, other, different
[opposite of allos = same]
So back to the verse in question.
John 10:16
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Let's look into the first usage of the word "fold" and as the companion bible screenshot demonstrates above, there are 2 entirely different Greek words in verse 16, but both of them are translated into the exact same english word "fold" and this is where the confusion enters in.
Greek lexicon of John 10:16 Go to the Strong's column, link #833
Definition of fold
Strong's Concordance #833
aule: a courtyard, a court
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Phonetic Spelling: (ow-lay')
Definition: court-yard, fore-court, sheep-fold; but it may be understood as: palace, house.
HELPS Word-studies
833 aule - a building with an interior courtyard; an uncovered, walled area that is enclosed but without a roof; an open-air (interior) courtyard of a mansion or palace.
So we can see that the "fold" is simply referring to a physical enclosure made for holding sheep near a house. Where is this located geographically?
John 8
1 Jesus went unto the mount of Olives.
2 And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
The temple and the mount of Olives are located in Jerusalem, Israel.
John 9
1 And as Jesus passed by, he saw a man which was blind from his birth.
7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
So Jesus had just walked out of the temple in Jerusalem, Israel, and then he healed a man that was born blind, so he was in the immediate area.
John 10
1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
2 But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
The following verses verify what we already knew: Jesus was within walking distance of the temple in Jerusalem.
John 10
22 And it was at Jerusalem the feast of the dedication, and it was winter.
23 And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch.
So this fold was simply a courtyard by a house designed for holding sheep that was located near the temple in Jerusalem, Israel.
Now we will look into the second usage of the word "fold" in John 10:16 which is from an entirely different Greek word.
Greek lexicon of John 10:16 Go to the Strong's column, link #4167
Definition of fold
Strong's Concordance #4167
poimne: a flock
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Phonetic Spelling: (poym'-nay)
Definition: a flock (of sheep or goats).
NAS Exhaustive Concordance
Look at that definition! Its a flock of sheep. Jesus was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel - that is the flock of sheep referred to here.
John 10:11
I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
So here is a more accurate translation of John 10:16, with explanatory notes.
John 10:16
And other sheep [of the same kind or type, located within the borders of Israel] I have, which are not of this fold [an open courtyard by a house designed for holding sheep] : them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold [flock, again, only located within the borders of Israel], and one shepherd [me, Jesus Christ].
So once we get the right information, we can clearly and indisputably see that the other sheep in John 10:16 are sheep [used figuratively here to refer to believers] that are only located within the borders of Israel.
This is absolute proof that Jesus Christ could not, should not, and did not travel to America, or any country other than Israel. So once again, you have a massive doctrinal lie from Satan, the idea that Jesus Christ went to America.
If the Mormons can say that Jesus went to America, then any other group can say he went to Brazil, Japan or Antarctica and start yet another corrupt man-made religion!
The book of Mormon, as an apocryphal book, is designed to distract, deceive, divide and confuse.
Let's verify who Moroni actually is!
Now let's look at the next paragraph."After Mormon completed his writings, he delivered the account to his son Moroni, who added a few words of his own and hid up the plates in the Hill Cumorah. On September 21, 1823, the same Moroni, then a glorified, resurrected being, appeared to the Prophet Joseph Smith and instructed him relative to the ancient record and its destined translation into the English language".
Since we have already proven that Mormon was a totally fabricated, fictitious lie, [he never existed], then it would be impossible for him to have a son.
Believing in Moroni is moronic.
Believing in Moroni is moronic.
Definition of Moroni
Moroni
noun
1. a town in and the capital of the Comoros.
Comoros
[kom-uh-rohz]
noun
1. Federal and Islamic Republic of the, a republic comprising three of the Comoro Islands (Grand Comoro, Moheli, and Anjouan): a former overseas territory of France;
declared independence 1975. 719 sq. mi. (1862 sq. km).
Capital: Moroni.
Dictionary.com Unabridged

[image of city of Moroni in the Comoros Islands]
Consistent with previous words from the book of Mormon that we have researched, moroni is not a person as the book of mormon says, but is a geographical location, the capital city of Comoros, a group of islands off the south west coast of Africa. Google maps confirms this.
Google maps of moroni
Encyclopedia Britannica about moroni
"Moroni, according to the teaching of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, an angel or resurrected being who appeared to Joseph Smith on September 21, 1823, to inform him that he had been chosen to restore God's church on earth. Four years later Smith purportedly received plates of gold from Moroni, who, as the last of the ancient prophets, had buried them in a hill called Cumorah (near Palmyra, New York) some 14 centuries earlier. On those plates were written history and teachings about ancient American prophets and peoples; it was that knowledge that Smith recorded in the Book of Mormon (see Mormon, Book of), which became accepted as a holy scripture by the Mormon church".
Did you read the first sentence? The great encyclopedia Britannica can only quote what the book of Mormon says; it cannot provide its own validation as an independent, objective authority of the book of Mormon. And look at the last sentence; "the Book of Mormon (see Mormon, Book of), which became accepted as a holy scripture by the Mormon church".
The book of Mormon is only regarded as holy scripture by the Mormon church, and not anybody else
Search result for moroni in the bible
So in the dictionary, moroni is defined as a city on the island of Comoros [which is verified by Google maps] and not a person. Furthermore, moroni is not even mentioned once in the entire bible, in addition to the fact that he is a fabrication of a fabrication [the son of Mormon, who never even existed].
Look at the next paragraph of the introduction!
"After Mormon completed his writings, he delivered the account to his son Moroni, who added a few words of his own and hid up the plates in the Hill Cumorah. On September 21, 1823, the same Moroni, then a glorified, resurrected being, appeared to the Prophet Joseph Smith and instructed him relative to the ancient record and its destined translation into the English language".
Look what it says about what Moroni did "who added a few words of his own". It doesn't say where his words came from. It doesn't say that they came from God, or an angel, or anyplace else. They are simply his own words, his own opinion, not eternal, perfect, truth from God. Very telling indeed. There is no divine authority here.
John 5:30
I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
So Moroni, who added his own words, contradicts what Jesus Christ said in the gospel of John!
"the same Moroni, then a glorified, resurrected being". How in the world can this be??? A glorified, resurrected being??? Moroni is not mentioned once in the entire bible. Moroni is a city and not a person. He was a fabrication of a fabrication. According to the bible, the resurrections of the just and unjust where people will be judged is still way off in the future and have not even happened yet.
The only person in the history of mankind to ever be resurrected from the dead was Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ was certainly glorified in his resurrected, spiritual body, but definitely not Moroni. The idea that Moroni was a glorified and resurrected being is another blatant lie from hell. This claim can be disproved just from the point of view of the nature of death alone, on top of all the other proofs against it.
Job 21:13
They spend their days in wealth, and in a moment go down to the grave.
Psalms 6:5
For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
Psalms 49
12 Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish.
14 Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them...
Yuck! What a horrible, graphic description. This is the true nature of death, no holds barred.
Psalms 89:48
What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
Psalms 146:4
His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
Ecclesiastes 9
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Hebrews 9:27
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
So we can see here that there are multiple, clear verses that are all in agreement on the nature of death.
So even if Moroni was a real person, he would have died many many decades ago, and therefore, could not have been glorified or resurrected from the dead. So the word of God has destroyed this lie many times over.
Continuing on with the introduction to the book of Mormon, we see more spiritual redundancy:
"The crowning event recorded in the Book of Mormon is the personal ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ among the Nephites soon after His resurrection. It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel, outlines the plan of salvation, and tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life and eternal salvation in the life to come".
So, let's break this down...
- We have already proven that the word "nephite" does not occur in the dictionary or the bible. Nephi is a city in Utah, and not the name of a person as the book of Mormon says, so the nephites did not exist. Even if they did, Jesus never would have visited them since that would have contradicted his mission only to Israel
- "It puts forth the doctrines of the gospel" - The bible has already done that almost 2,000 years ago
- "outlines the plan of salvation" - The bible has already done that almost 2,000 years ago
- "tells men what they must do to gain peace in this life: - The bible has already done that almost 2,000 years ago
- "eternal salvation in the life to come" - The bible has already done that almost 2,000 years ago
- Need I say more?
The book of Mormon can only try to counterfeit what has already been perfectly accomplished almost 2 thousand ago by God and his son Jesus Christ.
"In due course the plates were delivered to Joseph Smith, who translated them by the gift and power of God. The record is now published in many languages as a new and additional witness that Jesus Christ is the Son of the living God and that all who will come unto Him and obey the laws and ordinances of His gospel may be saved".
Why do we need a new and additional witness? We don't!
Acts 1:8
But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
God has already provided the witnesses way back in the first century, and any christian, located anywhere on earth, can manifest God's power in their lives, becoming a living witness of God's power by speaking in tongues the wonderful works of God.
Look at this arrogant gem!
"Concerning this record the Prophet Joseph Smith said: "I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book."
ROFLMAO! [Rolling On the Floor, Laughing My *ss Off].
Joseph Smith said "the book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth" knowing that it said of itself that it had imperfections in it!!
Therefore, Joseph Smith is a totally fraudulent religious con artist!!
Incredibly, Joseph Smith has the audacity to place the book of Mormon above the bible in importance, yet God himself places his own word above all his works!
Psalms 138:2
I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
Romans 12:2
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Sure, modern bibles have lots of forgeries and mistranslations in them caused by ungodly men, but not only was the original word of God "good, and acceptable, and perfect", we can prove it!
Acts 1:3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:
Besides all the incredibly accurate details of the bible, we can speak in tongues, one of the many infallible proofs in the bible. Speaking in tongues is the witness unto the uttermost part of the earth mentioned in Acts 1:8. Its the ability to speak in a totally unknown language. Its a sign to unbelievers that the power of God is in us.
With all the thousands of ancient biblical manuscripts around the world, and knowing all the principles of how the bible interprets itself, using the sound logic of the mind of Christ and with God, the Holy Spirit guiding us, it is definitely possible to get back to the original word of God. If this were not possible, then God would not have commanded us to rightly divide the word of truth in II Timothy 2:15.
We have seen and proven many blatant historical errors in the book of Mormon, along with other miscellaneous and erroneous statements, in addition to a massive doctrinal lie about Jesus Christ coming to America.
Why is this so?
In part 3 of this research project, we will go behind the scenes and examine the life of Joseph Smith, and see what spiritual forces were in effect.
SUMMARY
- In the introduction page of the book of Mormon, it says it was written "by many ancient prophets by the spirit of prophecy and revelation", yet the phrase "the spirit of prophecy and revelation" does not occur anywhere in the entire bible
- The word "nephites" does not occur in the dictionary or the bible
- The word "jaredite" does not occur in the dictionary, the encyclopedia Britannica, or the bible. Therefore, Jesus could not have visited a group of people that did not even exist
- The name "Jared" occurs 6 times in the bible, but no jaredite people are ever recorded to have existed. Even if there were such a race of people, they lived before the flood in Noah's time, and were completely destroyed by the global flood. Therefore, they could not have visited America or anyplace else in the world
- The will and word of God clearly and emphatically state that Jesus and the 12 disciples were not to go to any country outside of Israel and to only go TO Israel, eliminating any confusion. Therefore, Jesus could not, should not, and did not visit America at any time
- The Mormon church misinterprets John 10:16 to "prove" that Jesus went to America, which contradicts 7 verses in the bible and Jesus' God-given mission to Israel
- The other sheep in John 10:16 were of the same type as the rest of the lost sheep of the house of Israel
- The first usage of the word "fold" in John 10:16 was a physical open courtyard by a house designed for holding sheep. The second time the word "fold" is used, its from a different Greek word, referring to the entire body of believers of Israel, to whom Jesus was sent
- Since the prophet Mormon was a fabrication, his son Moroni is a fabrication of a fabrication. Therefore, to believe in Moroni is moronic.
- Moroni is not mentioned one time in the entire bible, and is described in the dictionary not as a person, but as the capital city of Comoros, a group of islands off the south west coast of Africa, verified by Google maps.
- Moroni added his own words to the book of Mormon, as opposed to receiving them from the one true God. Thus they are without any divine authority
- The book of Mormon says Moroni was a glorified and resurrected being, but this is impossible because of the nature of death that the bible speaks of in multiple concurrent verses. Even if Moroni were a real person, he would have died and remained in his grave many many decades ago, preventing him from being resurrected in the first place
- The book of Mormon counterfeits what God through his son Jesus Christ has already accomplished as recorded in the bible almost 2,000 years ago.
- God had already provided a witness of God's power on the day of Pentecost in 28AD. Believers all over the world continue to provide that witness unto the uttermost part of the earth by way of the 9 manifestations of the gift of holy spirit. Therefore, another witness of Jesus Christ is not needed, and in fact, is an insult to what God has already done perfectly
- Joseph Smith said the book of Mormon was the most correct book on earth knowing that Mormon 8:12 says there are imperfections in it. Thus the book of Mormon is an outright, deliberate religious fraud, full of contradictions and deceit
