1. INTRODUCTION

The gap theory of creation is the idea that there is a gap in time between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Many Christians say there is no scriptural support for this idea and that it's actually an unbiblical theory that can't be proven. It is also called the ruin & reconstruction theory.

All theories are, by definition, unproven.

That's where Satan, our personal adversary comes in by reducing the perfect and eternal truth of God's word down to a theory of man.

By calling God's word a theory, this causes people to doubt the integrity and precision of God's word.

This is the very first thing the Serpent did to Eve in order to break down her believing so he could deceive her and ultimately steal the power, authority and rulership of the earth from Adam to himself.

This 22,000 word research article demonstrates that there are at least 22 different ways to verify the correct translation of Genesis 1:2, proving that in a sequence of time, there are 3 heavens and earths!

This new astronomical information in the video below only confirms that God had to have created the universe, as opposed to it coming together by random chance without a purpose.

As of October 2016, NASA estimates there are at least 2 trillion galaxies!

I doubt that any human can fully comprehend the magnitude of this number:

one million is a thousand times 1 thousand;
one billion is a thousand times greater than a million;
one trillion is a thousand times greater than a billion.

If you counted 1 number every second and never stopped, it would take you approximately 32 years and 8 months to count to only 1 billion.

At that same rate, it would take you 31,688 years to count to *only* 1 trillion.

Double that and it would take you 63,376 years to count the current estimate of the number of galaxies in the universe.

And there are hundreds of billions of stars and planets in each of those 2 trillion galaxies...

The James Webb space telescope is fully operational now and it has been finding spectacular images of planets, galaxies and making many other great discoveries in the field of astronomy!

2: the definition of the words "earth" and "planet"

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In Genesis 1:1 & 2, the Hebrew word for "earth" is erets [Strong's #776] in both places and its used in the sense of the whole earth, (opposed to a part).

NASA'S definition of planet

1. It must orbit a star (in our cosmic neighborhood, the Sun).
2. It must be big enough to have enough gravity to force it into a spherical shape.
3. It must be big enough that its gravity cleared away any other objects of a similar size near its orbit around the Sun.

"A celestial body orbiting a star or stellar remnant that is massive enough to be rounded by its own gravity, is not massive enough to cause thermonuclear fusion, and has cleared its neighboring region of planetesimals".

"Planetesimal:
A solid object that is believed to exist in protoplanetary disks and in debris disks. Planetesimals are formed from small dust grains that collide and stick together and are the building blocks that eventually form planets in new planetary systems".

All planets, by definition, have some basic characteristics in common. Just a few of them are:

4. Function or purpose

7. Orbit around a star that can be observed, measured, and mathematically calculated with great precision [at least the ones in our own solar system. Others may be too far away to see or to calculate their orbit].

What are the biblical & spiritual purposes of the planets [other than the earth] in our solar system?

There are at least 3:

1. Twice God says that the purpose of the planets and other heavenly bodies is to give light upon the earth.
   
   Genesis 1
   14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
   15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

3. To teach the word of God to mankind through the planet's meaning of their names, constellations, positions in the night sky, etc [Psalms 19].

The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times [7 is the number of spiritual perfection!]

... and the scripture cannot be broken;

The original bible, the revealed word and will of God, was perfect in every way imaginable.

I Peter 1
23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

If the word of God was imperfect, then it wouldn't be able last forever.

• One of the ways the bible interprets itself is that if there is an apparent contradiction, the answer lies in either our understanding or in a bad translation of the biblical manuscripts.
• The answer lies in a very bad translation of the first word "was" in verse 2.
• It should have been translated "became" and we are going to verify this from multiple objective and authoritative sources so that we can have absolute confidence in God's word.

It's very important to realize that we have not arrived at this conclusion by any of the following:

1. Personal opinion
2. Denominational bias
3. Complex, confusing and contradictory theological theories

All we've done so far is simply read what has been written and looked up the definitions of words to conclude that there is an apparent contradiction between Genesis 1:1 & Genesis 1:2.

The rest of this article will show you how you can resolve this discrepancy and prove from multiple objective authorities the 3 heavens and earths so we can get back to the original and perfect and eternal word of God.

3: Creating the earth without form and void violates multiple scriptures & principles

The traditions of men [which contradict the word of God] Genesis creation story says that God created the earth without form and void, in a complete state of annihilation, in darkness and ruin in Genesis 1:1 & 2.

If that were the case, then by definition, the earth would no longer be the earth.

God either created the heavens and earth without form and void, in total ruin and darkness OR he created them with wisdom, beauty, and order, as a perfect harmonious arrangement, a glorious and stable decoration that honored him.

It cannot be both because they are opposites. Their definitions blatantly contradict each other.

Consider the following scriptures and principles:

Deuteronomy 32
3 Because I will publish the name of the Lord: ascribe ye greatness unto our God.
4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

In verse 4, look at the definition of the word "perfect":







The heavens and earth are God's work. He made them perfect, complete, full, and without blemish, which blatantly contradicts the condition of the earth in Genesis 1:2, but not Genesis 1:1.

Isaiah 33:6
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear [reverence] of the Lord is his treasure.

The condition of the universe in Genesis 1:2 was anything but stable, wisdom and knowledge.

Ephesians 4:1
I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,

II Samuel 22:31
As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a buckler [shield; a protector] to all them that trust in him.

Psalms 111
2 The works of the Lord are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3 His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Ecclesiastes 3:11
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

II Peter 3 [amplified bible]
5 For they willingly forget [the fact] that the heavens existed long ago by the word of God, and the earth was formed out of water and by water,
6 through which the world at that time was destroyed by being flooded with water.

In verse 6, the word "world" comes from the Greek word kosmos:

[The English term "cosmetic" is derived from 2889 /kósmos, i.e. the order ("ensemble") used of treating the face as a whole.]

Verse 6 is not referring to the earth during the flood of Noah, but the first earth that God had created in Genesis 1:1.

1. in Greek writings from Homer down, an apt and harmonious arrangement or constitution, order.

Probably from the base of komizo; orderly arrangement, i.e. Decoration; by implication, the world (in a wide or narrow sense, including its inhabitants, literally or figuratively (morally)) -- adorning, world.

I Corinthians 14:40 [amplified bible]
But all things must be done appropriately and in an orderly manner.

Although the context of chapter 14 is operating the 9 manifestations of holy spirit within the church, God certainly would not violate the general principles of appropriateness and orderliness in creating the heavens and earth.

Jeremiah 10:12 [amplified bible]
God made the earth by His power; He established the world by His wisdom And by His understanding and skill He has stretched out the heavens.

Relatively speaking, it doesn't take much thought, wisdom, power or skill to make a big, chaotic, ruined mess in the dark compared to the mind-bending vastness and microscopic precision of the entire universe, from the largest galaxy down to the details of the atom.

accurately describe an earth that was created without form and void, completely annihilated and in total chaos and ruin that was engulfed in darkness?

I John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Thus it simply could not have been created as a giant formless mess.



Psalms 147:4
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

Look at the precision, detail and care that God took in his creation.

He knows the exact number of stars in the universe and each one has a unique name!

Why?

Because they are important to him and there is a greater purpose for them - to glorify God and to teach his word.

Creating an earth without form and void in Genesis 1:2:

1. Is not consistent with God's nature
2. Contradicts many verses in the bible
3. Contradicts the definitions of words
4. Nullifies any form, function or purpose of the earth
5. The chaos, destruction and darkness exactly reflects the nature of God's enemy the devil. Coincidence?

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I [Jesus Christ] am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

4: Psalms 19

Why would God create the heaven and earth as a massive, chaotic, formless, useless and ugly ruin in darkness, and then immediately spend 6 days rebuilding it?

Its senseless, but that is the broken logic of the commandments, doctrines and traditions of men that always cancel out the goodness and integrity of the word of God.

Furthermore, let us consider one more angle to this.

Psalms 19 [amplified bible]
1 The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And the expanse [of heaven] is declaring the work of His hands.
2 Day after day pours forth speech, And night after night reveals knowledge.

3 There is no speech, nor are there [spoken] words [from the stars]; Their voice is not heard.
4 Yet their voice [in quiet evidence] has gone out through all the earth, Their words to the end of the world. In them and in the heavens He has made a tent for the sun,

5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
6 The sun’s rising is from one end of the heavens, And its circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its heat.

Verses 1 - 4 tells us that the heavens teach us his word by way of the constellations and planets and that the universe declares and glorifies God the creator.

The zodiac and other constellations are mentioned in the book of Job, the first book of the bible written chronologically.

Job 38 [American Standard Version]
31 Canst thou bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion?
32 Canst thou lead forth the Mazzaroth [signs of the zodiac] in their season? or canst thou guide the Bear with her train [sons]?
33 Knowest thou the ordinances of the heavens? Canst thou establish the dominion thereof in the earth?

Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

The word signs comes from the Hebrew root word avah, which means "to mark" and is used of marking someone significant to come.

Without any question, the most significant human being ever to walk the earth is Jesus Christ, THE son of God.

1. The focus of the universe is the earth.
2. Earth was made for mankind.
3. Mankind was made to know, love and glorify God, the designer and creator of the universe.
4. Circle of life complete.

THE FLAT EARTH THEORY FALLS FLAT, CRUSHED BY THE WORD OF GOD!

THE INTEGRITY AND PRECISION OF THE WORD OF GOD MUST BE ESTABLISHED FIRST!

Unfortunately, the flat earth theory seems to be gaining acceptance in our world, thanks in part to the video on Netflix.

1 John 5:9
If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

But I have greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

that from which something is surely and plainly known; an indubitable evidence, a proof.

Indubitable means: “that cannot be doubted; patently evident or certain; unquestionable”.

God wants us to have absolute certainty regarding the trustworthiness of his word.

Luke 1
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,



Here is the definition of certainty:

asphalés: certain, secure
Part of Speech: Adjective
Phonetic Spelling: (as-fal-ace')
Usage: (literally: unfailing), safe, reliable, trustworthy, certain, sure.

804 asphalḗs (from 1 /A "not" and sphallō, "totter, cast down") – properly, secure because on solid footing, i.e. built on what does not totter (fall, slip); hence, "unfailing, safe, reliable, trustworthy" (Souter).

So the definition of "certainty" corroborates what Acts 1:3 says about many infallible proofs!

When you speak in tongues it's one of the many infallible proofs of the absolute certainty of the word of God and it takes your trust and believing in God up to the next level.

BIBLE VERSES FOR A SPHERICAL EARTH

QUESTION: DOES THE BIBLE SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE EARTH BEING FLAT OR A GLOBE?

ANSWER: YES!

Isaiah 40:22
It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Here is the definition of "circle" from the New Wilson's Old Testament Word Studies, page 77:






Circles can be in 2 dimensions or 3 dimensions = a sphere if you spin it on its axis. The definition says its a "sphere", so that settles it!

However, somebody could legitimately question the validity of this translation because there are so many different reference works, translations, versions, commentaries, etc.

That is why it critical to use the principle of multiple objective authorities. Its the same principle as using 2 concurring compasses to be certain of the accuracy of the instrument.

But there is more evidence that the flat earth theory is false because it contradicts other verses in the bible.

PSALMS 103

Psalms 103
11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Hypothetically, if the earth was flat, regardless of the shape [round, rectangle, etc], then no matter what direction you go in, you will eventually reach the edge and fall off, float away or hit the imaginary gigantic ice wall that surrounds the earth that nobody has any proof of whatsoever.

But the bible specially references east and west and NOT north and south.

This only makes sense if the earth is a globe and not flat.

If you are on the equator and go north or south, you will eventually reach one of the poles. Once you cross over it, then you are automatically going in the opposite direction.

In other words, you have your past sins thrown back in your face, but if you are again, starting at the equator, regardless of whether you are going east or west, you can circle the earth an infinite number of times, but you will still be going in the same direction.

You will never meet your sins again.

That is the precision of the word of God and now it makes sense.

GENESIS 7

Genesis 7
17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.
18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.
20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:
22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.
24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

If the earth was flat, what would be the point of flooding it with water?! All the excess water would have flowed over the edge and disappeared.

Flooding the earth to destroy it only makes sense if its a self-contained system, so if the earth actually is flat, then there must be barriers around 100% of the edge that are higher than the tallest mountain in the world, [which is mount Everest at 29,000 feet] because verses 19 & 20 state that the entire earth was covered and the water was 15 cubits above the highest point = about 22 feet..



However, if the earth is a globe, which is consistent with all the other verses and evidence, then gravity would hold the water to the earth and now there is no problem.

Similar to this is the fact that many people are concerned about global warming, especially when it comes to all the melting glaciers.

The news and internet say that if enough glaciers melt down, then it will cause the sea level to rise significantly, flooding millions of people living on islands and coastal areas.

But if the earth is a sphere and the water is held in by gravity, only then would the melting glaciers potentially cause a problem.

BIBLE VERSES THAT SUPPORT THE FLAT EARTH THEORY

How can a globe have corners??

Revelation 7:1
And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

All the bible verses that I've seen that somebody says support a flat earth always involve ignorance, false teachings, missing information and extreme cases of one's own interpretations that really stretch the truth.

QUESTION: Where does the flat earth theory come from and why is it here?

ANSWER:
I John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The bottom line is that its inspired by devil spirits to sow doubt, confusion and discord among the brethren.

The flat earth theory also contradicts the science of long-range ballistics which have to adjust for the curvature of the earth and the speed and direction of the earth's rotation!






In other words, if the earth is flat, then it contradicts:

1. Astronomy: data collected from all over the world dating back several centuries from thousands of independent sources
2. Ballistics: long-range ballistics depend upon accurate information on the speed and direction of the earth's rotation and the curvature of the earth in order to destroy the far away targets
3. Bathymetry: mapping data collected about the floors of the oceans from many independent sources all over the world over the past several decades
4. Bible: there are at least 3 sections of scripture that verify a spherical earth
5. Dictionary: there is a growing list of words in countless dictionaries & languages all over the world that confirm a spherical earth. If the earth is actually flat instead, then this has got to be the most massive case of global fraud and forgery the world has ever known, potentially spanning over 4 thousand years [many ancient cultures believed in a spherical earth].

Not to mention all the other live streamed videos, again from multiple independant sources all over the world over several decades of time.

Let's just see how hard it would be to hide and/or alter massive amounts of data from thousands of independant sources all over the globe over many centuries of time...

1. The difficulty in concealing 1 conspiracy is proportional to the number of entities involved [people, corporations, non-profit organizations, etc].
2. Then that level of difficulty is multiplied as the number of geographic locations increases.
3. Then that level of difficulty is multiplied again when it involves long periods of time, especially when it exceeds a person's lifetime [and it becomes virtually impossible if you are dealing with several centuries or even thousand of years].
4. Then that level of difficulty is multiplied again when multiple industries have to be unified in one consistent message.
5. Finally, all that data from thousands of independant sources, in geographical locations all over the globe, over thousands of years, in mulitple industries, still has to agree wth the word of God, which is perfect and eternal.

NO GO.

IMPOSSIBLE.

I just found the first photo from space [that shows the curvature of the earth], taken way back on October 24, 1946, 12 years before NASA was founded on April 2nd, 1958!

And there was even a picture taken from a weather balloon 13.7 miles above earth in 1935 that showed a curved earth, 23 years before NASA!

Several years ago I heard a scientist talk about evolution vs creation who said that anything over 10⁵⁰ is considered statistically impossible, so I plugged in the number 200 into an online coin toss probability calculator and it says there's approximately a 1.6 x 10⁶⁰ chances of getting 200 heads in a row [10 powers of 10 beyond impossible!], so that is the chance of evolution causing the 200 parameters of earth necessary for life...proving that God created the universe.

Then scroll down a bit, just past the list of blue links, and you will see the first usage of the word "became" in Genesis 1:2 [wrongly translated "was", which we will get to later].



This Hebrew word hayah is also translated "become" in Genesis: 4:3, 9:15 & 19:26; Exodus 32:1; Deuteronomy 27:9; II Samuel 7:24 and other verses in the bible.

So now Genesis 1:1 & 2 read as follows:

Genesis 1
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth became without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

This explains why God had to rebuild [not re-create] the heaven and earth from Genesis 1:3 to Genesis 2:4, because it became without form and void in verse 2. It was not created that way.

In the King James Version, the word "created" is used 5 times in Genesis chapter 1 to refer to 3 separate and distinct acts of creation.

God only performed the act of creation [creating something new from nothing that never existed before] 3 times in the book of Genesis:

1. Genesis 1:1 --- the first heaven and earth [which included spirit beings, such as angels and cherubims]
2. Genesis 1:21 - the first soul life
3. Genesis 1:27 - the first gift of holy spirit, a gift that is reserved exclusively for man and not any other creature

And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

The word "creature" is the Hebrew word nephesh [Strong's #5315] which means "soul". God created soul life so that animals and man could breath and be an alive and moving physical being.

[Any attempts by man to make artificial intelligence or artificial life is simply a poor counterfeit to what God had created way back in Genesis 1:21].

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

God is invisible because he is a spiritual being.

You cannot hear, see, smell, taste or touch Holy Spirit. In other words, you can't detect spiritual beings by any of your five senses because the 5-senses realm and the spiritual realm are two separate and distinct categories.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Now Adam & Eve were complete. They had body, soul, and the gift of holy spirit upon them so that they could communicate with God, who is The Holy Spirit.

Some critics say that the gap theory contradicts the gospel record of Mark because Adam and Eve were there at the beginning of creation.

This time, the problem is not with a bad translation of the biblical text, but of our understanding of God's 3 acts of creation in the first chapter of Genesis.

3 And he answered and said unto them, What did Moses command you?

4 And they said, Moses suffered [permitted] to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.
7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;

8 And they twain [two] shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain [two], but one flesh.

Verse 6 is where the confusion lies.

6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female.

Verse 6 is a quote from Genesis 1:27.

Genesis 1:27 [kjv]
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Verse 27 cannot be referring to the creation of the first heaven and earth because that already happened in Genesis 1:1.

We must remember that creation refers to making something new that never existed before from nothing. If its made from existing materials, then its not a true act of creation. In other words, by definition, you can't create an identical thing twice.

Verse 27 cannot be referring to the creation of soul life because that already happened in Genesis 1:21.

Verse 27 is referring to the creation of the gift of holy spirit upon Adam and Eve, which was God's third act of creation in the 3-point list above.

During the age of grace [28AD until the return of Christ], when an unbeliever gets born again, God creates a brand new gift of holy spirit just for that person. This is incorruptible spiritual seed [I Peter 1:23].

Technically, Adam and Eve were never born again because that requires spiritual seed which wasn't available until the day of Pentecost in 28AD.

There are only 2 ways to become a son: by adoption or birth. Since becoming a son of God by birth was not available, Adam & Eve were sons of God by adoption because the gift of holy spirit was upon them on a condition.

It was not unconditional sonship by birth.

Ephesians 4:24
And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

The new man is a phrase that refers to the Christ in you, the gift of holy spirit, as opposed to the old man, which is in the body and soul category.

Colossians 1
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Thus Mark 10:6 is a quote from Genesis 1:27 which refers to God's third act of creation: the very first time creation of the gift of holy spirit occurred. It is man's spiritual beginning.

7: Research Isaiah 45:18 with a Hebrew Lexicon

Isaiah 45:18
For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else.

In Genesis 1:2, the english words "without form" is the one Hebrew word tohu [Strong's #8414], which means formlessness, waste, emptiness, chaos, and confusion.

In Isaiah 45:18, the english words "in vain" is the exact same Hebrew word tohu [Strong's #8414]!



Since God did not create the heaven and earth without form, then it had to have become that way from a source other than God.

But don't take my word for it - verify it yourself from an unbiased third-party authority.

One article I read online said that Isaiah 45:18 is in context, referring to Israel and God's purpose of creation and not the original state of creation. Is that what it says?

There are only 2 fundamental ways the bible interprets itself: in the verse or in the context. Here it interprets itself right in the verse. The language is so simple and straightforward that you can't miss it unless you deliberately choose to be ignorant of the word of God and want to hold onto the doctrines, commandments and traditions of men that cancel out the good effects of the word of God.

Let's let the scripture speak for itself.

Here is the break-down of Isaiah 45:18:

Isaiah 45:18
"For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens"; [the Lord created the heavens! It doesn't say Brazil, Japan, or Israel does it?]

"God himself that formed the earth and made it"; [Is Israel mentioned? Nope. God meant what he said and said what he meant. Otherwise, language is useless as a means of accurate communication. This verse is about God that formed and made the earth].

"he hath established it"; [Established what? Normal rules of grammar apply here: its obviously referring to the statement immediately preceding it - the earth].

"he created it not in vain"; [God could not be any clearer or more emphatic. He did not create it without form. When did he create it? In Genesis 1:1].

"he formed it to be inhabited": [Nobody can live on a planet that is literally no longer a planet because its now without form and is a gigantic void, courtesy of Lucifer [the devil, the dragon] and the war in heaven that HE started].

"I am the Lord; and there is none else".

You just cannot get any simpler, clearer or more emphatic. You are either going to believe what God actually says or what men say about it.

9: Look at Genesis 1:2 in the Hebrew Old Testament Interlinear

So there you have it, multiple, objective third-party authorities that verify and are congruent with the word of God.

10: Look up the biblical meaning of the number 2

First off, its very important to separate truth from error; the original from the counterfeit.

Numerology is the world's counterfeit to the biblical usage and meaning of numbers.

The number 2 indicates division in the bible!

"It is the first number by which we can divide another, and therefore in all its uses we may trace this fundamental idea of division or difference.

The two may be, though different in character, yet one as to testimony and friendship. The Second that comes in may be for help and deliverance. But, alas! where man is concerned, this number testifies of his fall, for it more often denotes that difference which implies opposition, enmity, and oppression.

When the earth lay in the chaos which had overwhelmed it (Gen 1:2), its condition was universal ruin and darkness. The second thing recorded in connection with the Creation was the introduction of a second thing—Light; and immediately there was difference and division, for God DIVIDED the light from the darkness.

The second of any number of things always bears upon it the stamp of difference, and generally of enmity. second statement in the Bible. The first is— Gen 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

This information on the biblical meaning of the number 2 is congruent with all the previous information, reinforcing it.

Here are some select quotes:

"In this number we have quite a new set of phenomena. We come to the first geometrical figure. Three lines are necessary to form a plane figure; and three dimensions of length, breadth, and height, are necessary to form a solid. Hence three is the symbol of the cube--the simplest form of solid figure. As two is the symbol of the square, or plane contents (x2), so three is the symbol of the cube, or solid contents (x3).

Three, therefore, stands for that which is solid, real, substantial, complete, and entire.

All things that are specially complete are stamped with this number three.

Three is the first of four perfect numbers (see p. 23).

1. Three denotes divine perfection;
2. Seven denotes spiritual perfection;
3. Ten denotes ordinal perfection; and
4. Twelve denotes governmental perfection.

Hence the number three points us to what is real, essential, perfect, substantial, complete, and Divine. There is nothing real in man or of man. Everything "under the sun" and apart from God is "vanity." "Every man at his best estate is altogether vanity" (Psa 139:5,11, 62:9, 144:4; Eccl 1:2,4, 2:11,17,26, 3:19, 4:4, 11:8, 12:8; Rom 8:20)".

Since 3 is the number of completeness, having 3 heavens and earths is a complete series of God's works that perfectly fits in with all the rest of the information.

12: In verse 2, not coincidentally, when the earth became without form, it is also associated with darkness.
What can the new testament reveal to us about that?

There are only 2 kinds of darkness: physical and spiritual.

Genesis 1:3
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

So obviously, there was an absence of physical light in Genesis 1:2. That is why God introduced light back into the situation.

Since the physical darkness and total annihilation of God's magnificent masterpiece [the universe], was deliberately caused by Satan, there has to be spiritual darkness as well.

John 3:19
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Darkness is associated with evil deeds in the gospel of John.

II Corinthians 6:14
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

As Christians, we do not have anything to do with darkness.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

The rulers of the darkness of this world are devil spirits that we are to stand against in our day and time.

Darkness does have destructive power [as Genesis 1:2 has demonstrated], but since we have been "translated" [rescued] from the power of darkness, then our rescuing power must be greater than the darkness.

This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Since God could not and actually said he did not create the heavens and earth in chaos and ruin, some other source had to have caused the destruction of the first heaven and earth.

Since there are only 2 great spiritual powers in the universe, God and the devil, it had to be the devil, the power of darkness, that destroyed the first heaven and earth.

13: Since the bible teaches there are 3 heavens and earths, the earth that was ruined and reconstructed in Genesis 1:2 and following had to be the second heaven and earth

Here the Apostle John is almost finished writing the last book of the bible, the book of Revelation. Most scholars believe that it was written somewhere in the neighborhood of 96A.D.

So the earth he was on is the same one we live in today.

God gave him a vision of the new heaven and earth, which were, and still are, in the future.

Revelation 21
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

If you think about it, verse one really deals with all 3 heavens and earths. The new heavens and earths are future. "the first heaven and the first earth were passed away" is the one in Genesis 1:1, which is obviously in the distant past. So the earth John was alive on had to be the current second earth.

II Corinthians 12:2
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

You can't have a third heaven unless you have the first and second before the third. This seals the absolute truth that the bible teaches of 3 distinct heavens and earths in a chronological sequence of time.

The bible has a built-in system of "checks and balances" so that we don't miss the precision of God's word.

So the three heavens and earths are not all existing at the same time, physically stacked on top of each other like pancakes, but are instead stretched out on a horizontal time line. They are arranged in a chronological sequence of time.

II Peter 3
4 And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Verse 6 is not talking about the flood in Noah's life, but the destruction of the first heaven and earth in Genesis 1:2.

7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now [as opposed to a different heaven and earth that existed before this one, which therefore makes this current one the second heaven and earth], by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

So there you have a complete and accurate biblical record of all 3 heavens and earths in a chronological sequence of time.

To further seal this truth, look at the precision of the definition of the word "new" in verse 13.

If it has been "not found exactly like this before.", then it has to be in the future, confirming what II Peter chapter 3 says.

This same word new [Kainos] is also used in Revelation 21:1 twice, further sealing the truth of 3 heavens and earths.

Revelation 21:1
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth...

Therefore, there has to be 3 heavens and earths in a chronological sequence of time, which corroborates the correct translation of Genesis 1:2 "became" without form and void.

14: God told Adam & Eve to replenish the earth, so there had to have been some other form of life on a previous earth before them

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Notice the use of the word "replenish". That is very accurate indeed. Adam & Eve were able to replenish the earth because there were life-forms on the previous earth before them.





As of 7-16-18, on www.biblegateway.com, there are 59 different bible versions listed in English. Of those, 51 contain the book of Genesis. Of those 51, seven [13%] either have the word “replenish” or clearly mean something similar to it in Genesis 1:28.

However, of these 7, four are either the kjv or a variation of it [57%], so in essence, there are really only 4 of the 51 different bible versions that say “replenish” or something similar to it, which is now only 7% of the total instead of the previous 13%, diminishing its support.

Of the ancient manuscripts, the Armenian bible from the 411 Syriac text, the Septuagint [the Greek translation of the old testament] and the lamsa bible, from the 5th century Aramaic text, all say “fill” instead of “replenish”.

The companion reference bible also says the word “replenish” means “fill”.

So the preponderance of evidence points to the word “fill” being the most accurate translation.

Regardless of which is the most accurate translation, this isn’t a deal breaker by any means. There are still 20 different ways to prove the gap theory correct and the accurate translation of Genesis 1:2.

Since we now know there are 3 different heavens and earths mentioned in the bible, the life it is referring to here was the life that was on the earth in Genesis 1:1. This is where all the fossils of dinosaurs, prehistoric man, strange plants & animals, etc come from.

Where is soul life in animals and humans?

Leviticus 17:11
For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.

The word "life" comes from the Hebrew word nephesh [Strong's #5315] and means soul. The soul of man and animals is in the blood.

This explains a lot. Ever since the fall of man, when the devil became the god of this world, Adam passed death along to the entire human race and all animals. The soul life was corrupted.

Psalms 51:14
Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

Everybody since Adam has corrupted blood; i.e. bloodguiltiness. That is why we will all die and why God sent his son Jesus Christ to redeem and save us.

That is why Jesus Christ is referred to in the bible as the innocent blood because God created a perfect sperm to impregnate Mary with and the sperm contained perfectly pure blood so that Jesus Christ could be the lamb of God without blemish or spot.

Critics of the gap theory point out "A major problem for the gap theory—and all long-age compromises—is that all such views place the fossil record before Adam. But this fossil record shows death and suffering. However, death is the result of Adam’s Fall, but the long-age views would entail that death precedes the Fall."

At first glance, this seems to hold water, to carry some weight.

However, there are 2 major glaring errors with this theory.

FIRST:

Romans 5:12
Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

Death entered into the life of mankind by Adam as a consequence of the fall of man as recorded in Genesis 3.

Death cannot happen unless there is first life before it, but what life is it referring to? The reference point in Romans 5:12 is the soul life that God had created in Genesis 1:21. Without it, you have a dead body, like what you view during a wake and before a funeral.

This soul life was corrupted by the devil in Genesis 3 who took control of the earth as God of this world after the fall of man.



The nature of this type of life cannot be determined or known since the bible does not tell us anything about it.

Therefore, since we do not even know what kind of soul life mobilized prehistoric animals in Genesis 1:1, we certainly cannot know anything about their death.

The death that Romans 5:12 speaks of only refers to death of the soul life that was created since Genesis 1:21 and death of the physical body that is referred to in Genesis 1:20-25 & Genesis 2:7. It must be understood in that context.

Therefore, the argument that the gap theory is invalid because our current form of death as we know it didn't occur until after Adam's fall is inaccurate because its referring to a different type of death than existed in Genesis 1:1.

Ultimately, Satan, and not God the creator, had to be the agent of death of the dinosaurs because, as stated in John 10:10, his entire purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy.

One theory of modern science is that an asteroid hit the earth and killed the dinosaurs, which has significant scientific backing as well.

This is consistent with the war in heaven that we dealt with in a previous section.

Whatever the dinosaur's soul life consisted of was already created by God in Genesis 1:1 and had a totally different nature than the life that He created in Genesis 1:21 because creation is the act of making something brand new that never existed before.

SECOND:

This is preposterous and total insanity.

If there were dinosaurs on earth during Noah's life, then why didn't God mention them?

Why didn't he command Noah to put them into the ark? God never even told Noah to exclude them from the ark either, and for obvious reasons.

Can you just imagine Noah trying to capture not one, but 2 giant t-rex dinosaurs? And then trying to fit it into the ark?

What about a pack of velociraptors?

According to a BBC article, the largest dinosaur fossil ever discovered was the titanosaur Argentinosaurus huinculensis. It was a giant plant-eating behemoth weighing approximately 96 tons and was 130 feet long and taller than a 5-story building. How is it going to fit into the ark?

Genesis 6:16
A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in a cubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shalt thou set in the side thereof; with lower, second, and third stories shalt thou make it.

Since you can't fit a 5-story animal inside a 3 story boat, that animal can only go on top of the 3rd story. Since God told Noah to take in animals in pairs of two and also by sevens, you would end up with a very unstable, top-heavy boat!

And that's assuming you could even get them there and the ark could sustain that kind of weight.

How were the giant flying pterodactyls captured and brought into the ark?

This is material for the animation experts in Hollywood and not reality.

No dinosaurs are ever mentioned in the bible. We only know of them because of their fossils that have been radiocarbon 14 dated to be millions and millions of years old.

How can this be reconciled with the approximate age of the earth of 6,000 years?

But having 3 heavens and earths eliminates all this insanity in one fell swoop.

15: There was a war in heaven following Lucifer's rebellion against God before recorded history.

This explains the destruction of the first heaven & earth in Genesis 1:2

One question you may have is how or why did the earth become without form. That is a very good question. Now we are going into Genesis 1:2 a level deeper. To understand this, we must go to a number of other scriptures.

Isaiah 14 & Ezekiel 28 have lots of great background information on Lucifer, his pride and his fall.

Revelation 12
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

Satan was "cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him".

Which earth is this verse referring to?

There are only 3, so by a simple process of elimination, we can quickly and decisively determine which one.

In verse 9, "cast out" is past tense, so it cannot be referring to the 3rd heaven and earth, [the one in the future], so that only leaves the 2nd present earth, or the 1st earth in Genesis 1:1 [past].

Lucifer is in reference to the devil before he gained control of the earth as God of this world, which is recorded in Genesis 3. The war in heaven occurred long before God rebuilt the the second earth in Genesis 1:2; thus lucifer was cast out of heaven down to the first earth, and thereby caused its destruction in Genesis 1:2, which fits with his nature.

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

I Peter 5:8
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

Satan had to be cast down to earth from heaven first as a consequence of losing the war, then he later stole all the power, dominion and rulership from Adam in order to become the God of this world.

II Corinthians 4
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

16: the mistranslation of Genesis 1:2 hides the work of Satan

So the job of the devil, as the accuser, the world's spiritual prosecutor, is to find you guilty! He has falsely accused God, his son Jesus Christ, and you, God's son, of doing or even being evil.

Thus, mistranslating the word "became" into "was" in Genesis 1:2 plays right into Satan's plans to make it look like either God did an extremely sloppy job at creating the heavens and earth, or he was unhappy with the way he made it in Genesis 1:1, destroyed it in Genesis 1:2, and rebuilt it in Genesis 1:3-2:4. Either way, it is basically a false accusation against God that he is incompetent.

17: The past first earth was destroyed by water, the present second earth will be destroyed by fire

We briefly went over these verses in section 8, but in the context of the 3 heavens and earths.

Now its in a different context, that of past destruction by water and future destruction by fire.

II Peter 3

This is an exact description of the earth that had become without form and void in Genesis 1:2! It was no longer recognizable as a planet. It was completely and totally annihilated.

This could only have been caused by the war in heaven [Revelation 12] and Lucifer who had rebelled against God and was cast down to the earth.

It does not describe the earth after Noah's flood because once the excess water was removed, the earth was still intact with rivers, mountains, plants, etc.

The phrase "upon the earth" is used 15 times just in the 6th and 7th chapters of Genesis alone. There are other similar phrases as well, so God has told us more than 15 times that the earth was still intact during and after Noah's flood.

This is why the earth referred to in II Peter 3:6 that was totally obliterated from existence by water absolutely cannot be the same earth during Noah's flood. It can only refer to an earlier earth, which can only be the one God created in Genesis 1:1.

Genesis 6:17
And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die.

Every living thing shall die, but the earth is still intact.

Genesis 7
4 For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

Notice that the earth is still intact. It is still a spherical body in space with a "face".

6 And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

Again, "the flood of waters was upon the earth". This is in contrast to an earth that was totally destroyed and was without form and was a gigantic void in space.

10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

" the flood was forty days upon the earth", meaning the earth was a planet that was still intact.

18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

The flood waters "prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth", meaning the earth was a planet that was still intact.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

There were still high hills on earth [covered by water]. That would have been impossible if the earth was without form and void.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

"the mountains were covered", which means the the earth was a planet that was still intact that still had mountains!

Therefore, this earth cannot be identical with the earth that was in Genesis 1:1 & 2.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Genesis 8
1 And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged;

2 The fountains also of the deep and the windows of heaven were stopped, and the rain from heaven was restrained;

3 And the waters returned from off the earth continually: and after the end of the hundred and fifty days the waters were abated.

4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.

Now an entire mountain range is mentioned. This was impossible in Genesis 1:2 because the earth was totally obliterated from existence.

5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.

You cannot have mountains in an empty void.

9 But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark.

22 While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

So the definition of the word "perished" in II Peter 3:6 and the many detailed descriptions of earth during Noah's flood proves that they were not identical. The next verse corroborates this.

Verse 7 says "but", which grammatically is a conjunction, setting in contrast that which was written before with that which is written afterwards.

"the present heavens and earth", in contrast to the past and first heaven and earth in Genesis 1:1. We, in the present time, live on the second earth [Genesis 1:2-2:4].

Notice also the opposite causes of death, if you will:

1. The first earth in Genesis 1:1 was [past tense] destroyed by water
2. The current second earth in Genesis 1:2 - Genesis 2:4 will be [in the future] destroyed by fire
3. Therefore, they cannot be the identical planet earth based upon the different ways they were destroyed and the vast space of time between them.

Last time I checked, water puts out fire ;) so the flood and fire could not occur on the earth at the same time.

Therefore, the 2 earths cannot be identical.

When you add in the new heaven and earth in the future, you have 3 heavens and earths, just like was verified several times before.

Water is classified as a solvent, which explains why the earth became without form and void, why it became a vast formless waste in space after Satan destroyed it with water in Genesis 1:1 & 2.

Fire is figuratively classified as a cleansing agent that also produces light, and light dispels darkness.

In the future, God's fire will cleanse the earth by burning up the unbelief of ungodly men and dispel their spiritual darkness forever with his light.

II Peter 3:3
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,

These scoffers, the mockers, have infected and contaminated the body of Christ with their unblelieving attitude.

They are willingly and deliberately blinded, "ignorant" of the biblical truth of 3 heavens and earths described in only a few verses in Peter.

This is the only section of the bible where all 3 heavens and earths are mentioned together.

That makes this subject uniquely significant.

I Corinthians 14:38
But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.

The essence of this verse is that if somebody deliberately chooses to be blind and ignorant of the integrity and precision and simple logic of the word of God, then let them be. Don't waste your time or God's time trying to convince them. Its time to move on.

This is the 15th verification of the correct translation of Genesis 1:2 - "became" instead of "was".

18: Did Lucifer destroy the heavens and earth to prevent the birth of his enemy Jesus Christ, who was prophesied to destroy him?

Genesis 3:15
And I [God] will put enmity between thee [Satan] and the woman, and between thy seed [Satan's] and her seed [referring to the future Christ]; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This verse reveals a lot. Satan is going to bruise Jesus Christ's heel, referring to his crucifixion, but Jesus Christ is going to crush Satan's head, delivering a permanent fatal blow. The word and will of God is not only revealed in written form such as the bible, but it was also known verbally by way of the ancient prophets and also the constellations in the night sky.

Genesis 1:14
And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:



Jesus Christ came as prophesied and already legally defeated the devil and now its just a matter of time until he is finally destroyed for good by being destroyed in the lake of fire.

Furthermore, it was Satan that caused the flood during Noah's life, not God [the subject of another teaching]. Was this the devil's second of 3 attempts to prevent the coming redeemer, Jesus Christ, from even being born?

If you think about it, it just makes a lot of sense:

1. The devil destroyed the first heaven and earth in Genesis 1:2 to prevent Jesus Christ from being born
2. The devil completely flooded the second heaven and earth in Genesis 6:17 to prevent Jesus Christ from being born
3. The devil destroyed [through the life of Herod, king of Israel] all the male children in Bethlehem from 2 years old and under [Matthew 2:16] to prevent Jesus Christ from being born

I can't absolutely prove this, but it makes a tremendous amount of sense and there are some supporting verses to back this up.

The devil is a murderer from the beginning [John 8:44].

The devil walks up and down the earth like a lion, seeking whom he may devour [I Peter 5:8].

His whole purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy [John 10:10].

He is more crafty, and cunning than any beast of the field [Genesis 3:1].

If the universe was the result of the big bang, and all the stars, planets, galaxies, etc are all randomly strewn about, then why do the 12 original signs of the zodiac in the night sky tell of multiple stories about Jesus Christ, God's grace, the devil's demise and are only meaningful and visible from earth?

It's impossible that that would happen by chance. The odds against it are simply incalculable.

The book "Witness of the stars" is a fascinating journey in biblical astronomy. There is even a blank space in the night sky because that is where the great mystery [revealed in Ephesians 3 & Colossians 1] would have been! God could not even put heavenly bodies there because then man might have a chance to figure the mystery out that God had hidden for eons of time.

Psalms 147:4
He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.

Each star had a name. As you've seen near the beginning of this article, the last estimate was that there's 2 trillion galaxies and several hundred billion stars and planets in each of those galaxies.

So if you conservatively estimate that there are only 300 billion stars and planets in every galaxy, that's 600 sextillion stars and planets... a 6 followed by 23 zeroes.

And look at the magnificent beauty, colors, shapes, sizes and variety of celestial objects!

Its humanly impossible to fully comprehend all of that, yet God was able to design, create, arrange, and name all of them.

If you combine history, astronomy and holy scripture, they all converge on Wednesday, September 11, 3 BC, between the hours of 6:18pm and 7:39pm as the year, date and time of Jesus Christ's birth.

Some of this is known only through scripture. Some of it can only be known through astronomy. If the universe was just a random explosion, then no part of Jesus Christ's birth date would be calculable. None of the multiple planetary conjunctions involving Jupiter that told the wise men where to go to find Jesus Christ's birthplace would have happened.

Big bang theory of inflation
"The cosmic background radiation is extremely uniform, giving credence to a theory known as inflation, which posits that a tiny fraction of a second after the Big Bang, the universe suddenly expanded in size nearly 100 trillion times. But there are subtle variations, typically a 100 millionth of a degree, that correspond to quantum ripples in the very early universe just a trillionth of a trillionth of a second after the universe was born."



Even if the big bang or inflation theories were true [putting aside the violations of the laws of physics], it still does not explain how this tiny particle of matter and/or energy came into being in the first place, so no matter how you slice it, the big bang theory is insanely ludicrous.

19: Doesn't the biblical record of creation contradict radiocarbon 14 dating?

What people don't realize is that the fall of man, when Adam transferred all his power, dominion and authority over all of God's creation over to Satan, corrupted everything.

Legally, the fall of man was actually treason because Adam transferred all his power over to God's enemy Satan. Satan's entire nature is to steal, kill, and destroy [John 10:10]. That damaged all creation, even down to the atomic level. The consequence is that it rendered radiocarbon 14 dating inaccurate before the fall of man, which occurred roughly 6,000 years ago.

So it doesn't matter how old scientists say the earth is - whether its many thousands, millions, or even billions of years old, it still does not disprove the precision of the record of creation. Their scientific measurements are either inaccurate or they are measuring the age of the first heaven and earth. Either way, it still cannot and does not invalidate the biblical record of creation.

We simply do not know how much time there was between Genesis 1:1 and Genesis 1:2. Its impossible to determine. So all the radiocarbon 14 dating, ancient fossils, etc can only prove the bible correct.

Romans 8 [Amplified bible]
19 For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed.
20 For the creation was subjected to frustration and futility, not willingly [because of some intentional fault on its part], but by the will of Him who subjected it, in hope

21 that the creation itself will also be freed from its bondage to decay [and gain entrance] into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation has been moaning together as in the pains of childbirth until now.

This is the biblical confirmation of what we just learned - the entire creation is in bondage to decay, due to Adam's sin of treason that transferred all his power, dominion and authority to God's enemy Satan, the God of this world.

We have yet another confirmation of this in the gospel of Luke.

Luke 4
5 And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
6 And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.
7 If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.

In verse 6, look at the definition of "delivered"!

So the devil betrayed Adam to steal his power and become the God of this world, an ancient lust that finally came to fruition, as revealed in the book of Isaiah.

12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

This knowledge and understanding is absolutely priceless!! Where else can you find this?!

Why is it important to understand that “God is the author of two books: the Book of Scripture and the Book of Nature”?

Dr. Wickman: Since God reveals himself in both Scripture and nature, the two cannot logically contradict each other. So the key to a fuller understanding of who God is lies in seeing how the message of scripture and the evidence from nature fit together and inform each other.

20: the second law of thermodynamics

In a nutshell, the second law of thermodynamics states that things go from a state of order [from God] to disorder [because of the devil], unless external energy is supplied.

Physical laws, by definition, do not vary and under the same conditions, produce the exact same results. They are very consistent, predictable and dependable.

By definition, theories are unproven and are often updated or even completely rewritten.

Genesis 1:1 to Genesis 1:2 is an exact example of the second law of thermodynamics: order to disorder.

We have perfect order and a harmonious arrangement in God's creation of the universe in Genesis 1:1 as covered in section #2.

Then we have chaos, destruction, emptiness and darkness in Genesis 1:2 because of the war in heaven and Lucifer's fall and subsequent negative actions.

Then we have the ordered beautiful reconstruction of the universe recorded in Genesis 1:2 - Genesis 2:4.



In other words, evolution states that the universe started with a state of disorder, then out of random chance, somehow became a very ordered system, which contradicts the second law of thermodynamics that God invented.



In other words, God did an extremely sloppy job at making the universe in Genesis 1:1 & 2, so he had to rebuild it.

This is a false accusation against God the creator, which was handled in section #14, but also contradicts the word of God as handled in section #2.

21: 3 Figures of speech

The objective of figures of speech is to deliberately depart from the normal rules of grammar in a specified way.

The purpose of figures of speech is to emphasize that which is most important in God's word.

By deliberately breaking the rules of grammar in a scientific way, figures of speech catch our attention to the unusual difference in the order and or meaning of words to demonstrate to us the Holy Spirit's markings as to that which is most important in his word.

They resolve countless arguments among Christians and doubts as to what the bible actually means without introducing any opinions or skewed personal bias. This avoids privately interpreting the word of God and lets them speak for themselves.

There are well over 200 different figures of speech used in the bible and some have up to 40 different variations each!

It shows the figure of speech alternation, where alternating verses correspond in a specified way.

A corresponds to A
B corresponds to B

Thus, if the heavens and earth were originally created without form and void, in total chaos and ruin, it would ruin the figures of speech that God had written into his word!

This amounts to unauthorized changes to his word, which ultimately can only originate from God's enemy the devil.

Another figure of speech used in the first two verses of the bible is anadiplosis
"The term anadiplosis is a Greek word which means “to reduplicate”. It refers to the repetition of a word or words in successive clauses in such a way that the second clause starts with the same word which marks the end of the previous clause".

"Writers employ anadiplosis in their literary texts to produce special stylistic effects such as decorating texts by means of its typical repetitive pattern and laying emphasis on an important point".

"Function of Anadiplosis
It repeats a word in quick succession in successive clauses in order to add emphasis to the main idea, as readers tend to focus more on the repetition of words and thereby on the idea emphasized upon. Anadiplosis also serves to decorate a piece of writing or a speech. Often, CEOs and modern executives are fond of using it to make their suggestions and commands effective".

The repeated words are the most important ones thus emphasized by this figure.

If you run Genesis 1:1 & 2 together, you can more readily see anadiplosis in action.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth and the earth became without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

The repeated word is "earth", so it is the one emphasized.

Why?

Because something very drastic had happened to it in verse 2 - the war in heaven and Lucifer's destruction of the first heavens and earth.

Now that makes sense, but if the earth was already created in chaos and ruin in verse one, then there would not have been any change of it in verse 2. Thus there would be no reason to bring special attention to it by way of the figure of speech anadiplosis.

The third figure of speech used in the first 2 verses of the bible is paronomasia

"Definition of Paronomasia
Paronomasia is a rhetorical device which can be defined as a phrase intentionally used to exploit the confusion between words having similar sounds but different meanings. It is like a word play and is also known as a pun.

Types of Paronomasia
There are two types of paronomasia that are:

Typographic Paronomasia

Typographic paronomasia is further classified into five categories:

1. Homophonic – The use of words that sound the same and have different meanings such as “pour out corruption’s slag from every pore….”
2. Homographic – The words that are spelt the same but have different meanings such as “David doesn’t feel well today” and “My uncle is digging a new well….”
3. Homonymic – These words include both homographs and homophones.
4. Compound – These contain two or more puns in a sentence.
5. Compound – These contain two or more puns in a sentence.
6. Recursive – In these, the second part of a pun depends upon the meaning of the first."

The category of Paronomasia used in Genesis 1:2 is #1.

We can't see it in any english bible, but it is quite apparent in the Hebrew.

Function of Paronomasia
Paronomasia gives thoughtful meanings to literary texts aside from providing humorous and witty comments. Through paronomasia, the writers demonstrate the shrewdness of characters and their own ingenuity by playing with the words. Besides, in literary works, paronomasia functions as a purposeful effort of the writers to provide a source of comic relief to show their artistic ability. Being a source of fun, paronomasia is used in comedy theaters and jokes give humorous meanings to perplexing stories. Also, it is found in limerick forms of poetry."

tohu wa bohu = without form and void

Here Paronomasia is emphasizing the 2 Hebrew words that rhyme: tohu & bohu because this is the new, radically changed condition of the earth, in contrast to the perfection and harmony in verse 1.

Now we have a simple logical progression of 3 figures of speech from a broader general overview to much greater detail:

• Alternation: a broad overview of the contrasting and corresponding changes between the first earth [Genesis 1] and the second earth [II Peter 3]
• Anadiplosis: a drastic change in the earth from Genesis 1:1 to Genesis 1:2
• Paronomasia: details of the destruction of the earth in Genesis 1:2

Look at the remarkable precision and breathtaking beauty, symmetry, balance and steady progression of how these 3 figures of speech perfectly fit together!

22: Definition of tohu

This section is simply an expanded version of section #6 on Isaiah 45:18, but in more detail and with a different emphasis.

Genesis 1:2
And the earth was [became] without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

In Genesis 1:2, the 2 english words "without form" are the one Hebrew word tohu [Strong's #8414], which means formlessness, waste, emptiness, chaos, and confusion.

Let's compare the 3 different meanings of the Hebrew word tohu with what God's word says.

Look at definition #2 - it blatantly contradicts Isaiah 45:18, the verse we covered in great detail in section #6!

Is a desolation or desert, which is associated with evil and a curse, the type of earth that God created in Genesis 1:1 & 2?

Of course not.

Therefore, God could not and did not create the first heaven and earth without form.

It became that way because of the war in heaven and the work of Satan.

CONFUSION

I Corinthians 14:33
For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

There are only 2 words in the Greek for not. One of them refers to a conditional not and the other means an absolute not.

The Greek word used here is ou, and means absolutely not.



James 3
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

Verse 16 is an exact description of the war in heaven and the disastrous consequences!

"there is confusion and every evil work". Since God is absolutely not the author of confusion and where there is confusion, there is every evil work.

Therefore it is doubly absolutely impossible for God to have created the heaven and earth without form and void, a chaotic, confusing mess in the dark.

And this is just the information on one of the definitions of tohu - confusion.

WORTHLESS

"figuratively, a worthless thing". What does the bible say about worthlessness?

As a chaotic, empty mess in the dark, the earth would certainly be worthless.

Deuteronomy 13:13
Certain men, the children of Belial, are gone out from among you, and have withdrawn [seduced] the inhabitants of their city, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which ye have not known;

Belial is one of the many different names of the devil.

In Deuteronomy 13, we have the sons of the devil, who are leaders in their culture, seducing people into idolatry.

By the definition of their very own name, they, and their spiritual father the devil, are worthless.

WILDERNESS

1. Desolation: God did not make an uninhabitable, cursed or evil desolation of the earth in Genesis 1:1
2. Confusion: This is emphatically of the devil and NOT from the one true God who created the universe in perfect order and harmony.
3. Worthless: Belial, one of the many names of the devil, literally means without worth
4. Wilderness: the devil, as god of this world, has made the world a spiritual wilderness

How much more evidence to we need?!?!?!

SUMMARY

1. In Genesis 1:2, the word "became" was mistranslated into the word "was" in its first usage. This can be verified from at least 12 objective and authoritative sources: first from the definition of the words "earth" and "planet"
