INTRODUCTION

In parts 1 & 2, we saw within the book of Mormon, quite a few historical errors, 1 major doctrinal error [there are many, but we only analyzed one], plus a number of miscellaneous false statements. Now we're going to find out why. We're going to get to the root of the problem and look into the life of Joseph Smith from a biblical and spiritual perspective.

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

There is a 5-senses realm and a spiritual realm. Knowing this and being able to discern the difference between the 2 is crucial in order to win in the spiritual competition.

Joseph Smith failed his background check!

We find out from a credible source that Joseph Smith and his father Hyrum were both murdered in Carthage, Illinois in 1844. Encyclopedia Britannica - the life of Joseph Smith

Encyclopedia Britannica - Joseph Smith - the early years
"Early years Smith came from an unremarkable New England family. His grandfather, Asael Smith, lost most of his property in Topsfield, Mass., during the economic downturn of the 1780s and eventually moved to Vermont, where Smith's father, Joseph Smith, Sr., established himself as a farmer. After the birth of Joseph Smith, Jr., a series of crop failures forced the family to move to Palmyra, N.Y.

His mother, Lucy Mack, came from a Connecticut family that had disengaged from conventional Congregationalism and leaned toward Seekerism, a movement that looked for a new revelation to restore true Christianity. Although privately religious, the family rarely attended church, and after they moved to Palmyra they became involved in magic and treasure-seeking. Lucy Smith attended Presbyterian meetings, but her husband refused to accompany her, and Joseph, Jr., remained at home with his father.

Painting of Joseph Smith 1842

Religious differences within the family and over religious revivals in the Palmyra area left Smith perplexed about where to find a church. When he was 14, he prayed for help, and, according to his own account, God and Jesus Christ appeared to him.".

Here is a spiritual red flag and clue to where the book of Mormon actually originated from - he was involved in magic and treasure seeking when he was a teenager. We are going to handle this one first, then the issue of when Joseph was in the forest and "God and Jesus Christ appeared to him" - that's a major problem as well. From a biblical and spiritual perspective, there are only 2 kinds of magic - one is just fun and games, and the other involves the operation of devil spirits.

Most magic tricks consist of cool card tricks, sleight of hand, or perhaps some very ingeniously designed device or set up that can deceive or mislead you. One time I saw a video of Chris Angel walking across the top of a swimming pool. Women were even swimming under the water underneath him, so it looked really convincing, until the video explained how he did it. Before he walked across the pool, a large plexiglass platform was installed in the pool.

It consisted of 2 large flat parallel surfaces connected by several vertical support poles. From the perspective of an underwater camera, it was about 98% invisible. From above the water, you couldn't see it at all. It had several strategically placed vertical support poles that enabled a person to actually swim through it while another person walked across the top of it. There's really no harm in this type of stuff. Its actually a good mental exercise to see if you can figure out how the trick is done.

There can be a spiritually dark side to some magic tricks, as this record in the book of Acts demonstrates.

Acts 8
5 Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.
6 And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

7 For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
8 And there was great joy in that city.

9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries.
12 But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

13 Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
14 Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:

15 Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
16 (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)

17 Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
18 And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,

19 Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.
20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.

21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God.
22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.

23 For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
24 Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.

Greek lexicon of Acts 8:9 Go to the Strong's column, the sixth link down from the top, #3096.

Definition of sorcery
Strong's Concordance #3096
mageuo: to practice magic
Part of Speech: Verb
Phonetic Spelling: (mag-yoo' -o)
Definition: I practice sorcery or magic.

This is a very basic definition though, so we will look at the root word magos that gives more information and the key usage of where this word is used in the bible

Strong's Concordance #3097
magos: a Magian, i.e. an (Oriental) astrologer, by impl. a magician
Part of Speech: Noun, Masculine
Phonetic Spelling: (mag' -os)
Definition: a sorcerer, a magician, a wizard.

HELPS Word-studies
3097 magos (plural, magi) - properly, belonging to "the Magoi, a Median tribe (so Herodotus); a Magian, one of a sacred caste, originally Median, who seem to have conformed to the Persian religion, while retaining some of their old beliefs (v. DB, I vol., 565 f.; DB, iii, 203 ff.): Mt 2:1,7,16; a wizard, sorcerer: Ac 13:6,8" (Abbott-Smith).

This word magos is used again in the book of Acts that reveals a great insight...

Acts 13
6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer [magos], a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Barjesus:
7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called for Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God.

8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith.
9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy Ghost, set his eyes on him.

10 And said, O full of all subtilty and all mischief, thou child of the devil, thou enemy of all righteousness, wilt thou not cease to pervert the right ways of the Lord?
11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun for a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand.

12 Then the deputy, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the doctrine of the Lord.

Not only was this guy a sorcerer, but a false prophet and he was a child of the devil!

So in Acts 8 & 13, one of the sorcerers was a child of the devil, and the other was not. The point is that some magic is the operation of devil spirits, as is the case in these two records.

One of the classic signs that you have a counterfeiter on your hands is in Acts 8:

Acts 8
9 But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:
10 To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.

One of the classic characteristics of counterfeiters is that the person is the one who gets the credit, the glory, the praise, instead of the one true God.

A good example of this is people who walk on long beds of hot coals barefooted, yet they do not get burned. Witnesses of these events are amazed at how the people can do this. This kind of thing is the operation of devil spirits. There is no biblical or genuine benefit or need to walk on coals.

The only purpose is to show off, to exalt the coal walker in front of the witnesses, who may teach others how to do it. In other words, he will teach others how to open up their minds and lives to devil spirit infiltration, which is exactly what Satan wants.

Whenever a true miracle happens, people will worship and praise the one true God instead of the person who performed the miracle.

Joseph Smith: America's Hermetic Prophet

Definition of hermetic
adjective
1. made airtight by fusion or sealing.
2. not affected by outward influence or power; isolated.
3. (sometimes initial capital letter) of, pertaining to, or characteristic of occult science, especially alchemy.
4. (initial capital letter) of or pertaining to Hermes Trismegistus or the writings ascribed to him.

Definition of alchemy
noun, plural alchemies for 2.
1. a form of chemistry and speculative philosophy practiced in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance and concerned principally with discovering methods for transmuting baser metals into gold and with finding a universal solvent and an elixir of life.
2. any magical power or process of transmuting a common substance, usually of little value, into a substance of great value.

British Dictionary definitions for alchemy
alchemy
noun (pl) -mies
1. the pseudoscientific predecessor of chemistry that sought a method of transmuting base metals into gold, an elixir to prolong life indefinitely, a panacea or universal remedy, and an alkahest or universal solvent
2. a power like that of alchemy: her beauty had a potent alchemy

Look at definition #1 - its a false science that Joseph Smith practiced.

Information on Hermes Trismegistus
Here are some selected quotes about Hermes relative to our research report:

"The early Christian Fathers, in time, mostly held that Hermes was a great sage who lived before Moses and that he was a pious and wise man who received revelations from God that were later fully explained by Christianity. None mentioned that he was a Greek god".

"The British scholar R.F. Willetts wrote that "in many ways, Hermes is the most sympathetic, the most baffling, the most confusing, the most complex, and therefore the most Greek of all the Olympian gods".

"Hermes is also noted for cunning and for fraud, perjury, and theft" This explains the lies and distortions in the book of Mormon.

How remarkable it is that Joseph Smith was a Hermetic prophet, Hermes is noted for "cunning and for fraud, perjury, and theft" and Joseph Smith was guilty of all of them!!!

He was also convicted in court for fraud.

Joseph Smith convicted of fraud in court in 1826
"In [March] 1826 Joseph Smith was 21 [20] and at this point was midway between the FIRST VISION and 1830 [BoM publication]. What a strange time to be convicted of fraud - fraudulently getting money after convincing the victim that he could detect the whereabouts of hidden treasure on the victim's land. Wow.... It is as genuine and sound as can be - published right in Joseph Smith's own camp."

Meanwhile, back to the information on Hermes.

"The Greek Hermes found his analogue in Egypt as the ancient Wisdom God Thoth (sometimes spelled Thouth or Tahuti).
Thoth played a part in many of the myths of Pharaonic Egypt: he played a role in the creation myth, he was recorder of the gods, and he was the principal pleader for the soul at the judgment of the dead. It was he who invented writing. He wrote all the ancient texts, including the most esoteric ones, including The Book of Breathings, which taught humans how to become gods".

"It was to this powerful god that the Egyptian Hermeticists of the second and third centuries A.D. joined the image and especially the name of the Greek Hermes. From this time onward the name "Hermes" came to denote neither Thoth nor Hermes proper, but a new archetypal figure, Hermes Trismegistus, who combined the features of both".

"Who, then, actually wrote the "books of Hermes," which, since their rediscovery in the fifteenth century, have played such a significant role in our culture? The writings are all anonymous: their mythic author is considered to be Hermes himself".

"There are apparent contradictions, not only between Hermetic and Gnostic writings, but within the Hermetic materials themselves".

The books of Hermes are, by definition, apocryphal writings, and therefore, false. See Definition of apocryphal writings

"From the start, Joseph Smith has been cast by his church as a man more enlightened than any mortal to walk the earth since the passing of the last biblical apostles. No historical life could be granted a more mythological tenor than has his".

This statement matches the ones in Acts 8:9-10, thus exposing Joseph Smith as a counterfeiter. Here's another one that confirms it.

"Mormonism is a purely American gnosis, for which Joseph Smith was and is a far more crucial figure than Jesus could be".

Definition of gnosis
noun 1. knowledge of spiritual matters; mystical knowledge.

These 2 statements about Joseph Smith reflect lots of pride, ego and vanity, consistent with the characteristics of counterfeit men of God mentioned in Acts 8.

Oftentimes, magic, sorcery, etc involve the use of drugs and voodoo potions.

Galatians 5
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Definition of sorcery
Strong's Concordance #5331
pharmakeia: the use of medicine, drugs or spells
Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine
Phonetic Spelling: (far-mak-i' -ah)
Definition: magic, sorcery, enchantment.

HELPS Word-studies
5331 pharmakeia (from pharmakeuo, "administer drugs") - properly, drug-related sorcery, like the practice of magical-arts, etc. (A. T. Robertson).

Entire countries have been infiltrated, contaminated, saturated, and dominated by a pervasive, perverse, and persistent drug industry, consisting of both legal and illegal drugs. Ultimately, Satan is the one behind it. Some drugs can open up a person's mind to devil spirit possession.

Taking drugs often weakens them financially, ruining their health, social life, etc. Ironically, it has already been proven by MD's within the medical system itself that the medical industry causes more deaths than any other industry.

In part 4 of this page, we see this quote: "Beginning in his late-adolescent years Joseph was first recognized by others to have paranormal abilities, and between 1822 and 1827 he was enlisted to act as "seer" for several groups engaged in treasure digging".

Definition of paranormal
adjective
1. of or pertaining to the claimed occurrence of an event or perception without scientific explanation, as psychokinesis, extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena.

Word Origin and History for paranormal
adj.
1905, from para- (1) + normal. Related: Paranormally.
Online Etymology Dictionary, © 2010 Douglas Harper

Definition of the prefix para
Word Origin
1. a prefix appearing in loanwords from Greek, most often attached to verbs and verbal derivatives, with the meanings
So Joseph Smith possessed "paranormal abilities". According to definition, that is abnormal or defective abilities. That explains the many proven defects in the book of Mormon. Where did these abilities come from?

There are only 2 great, general realms or categories in life: the 5-senses and the spiritual.

The 5-senses realm, as the name implies, is the area where we can see, smell, hear, taste or touch things. The spiritual realm is divided up into 2 areas: God's and the devil's.

"The treasure digging activities also had involved magical rituals, and it is likely Joseph Smith was cognizant of at least the rudiments of ceremonial magic during his adolescent years. A possible occult mentor to the young Smith has also been identified - a physician named Dr. Luman Walter".

Joseph Smith's abilities, by definition, would have to originate from the spiritual realm, but which side? Joseph Smith was the writer of the book of Mormon, but not the author or originator, and we have seen many lies and inaccuracies in it. This can only come from Satan, not the one true God.

John 8
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

So the devil is a liar and the father [originator] of lies, but God cannot lie. Therefore, the lies and deceptions from Joseph Smith ultimately originate from the devil.

The lie of Godhood for man
In part V, we read this: "During the period after 1841, Joseph introduced the practice of plural "celestial marriage" - what later evolved into Mormon polygamy in Utah - to a small group of his most trusted followers. In this era not only men, but a few women - like Lucinda - secretly took a "plural" spouse.

The sacred wedding ritualized by Smith was a transformative union that anointed men and women to become "priests and priestesses", "kings and queens", and then ultimately Goddess and God - the dual creative substance of Divinity in eternal, tantric intercourse".

In part VI, we have a confirmation of this: "Not only did Smith have numerous documented associations with historical legacies of Hermeticism such as magic and Masonry, but his religious creation also evidenced several parallels with Hermetic ideas. John L. Brooke, professor of history at Tufts University, has recently explored this subject in a seminal 1994 study of Mormonism and Hermeticism, The Refiner's Fire: The Making of Mormon Cosmology, 1644-1844.8 Brooke notes the "striking parallels between the Mormon concepts of co-equality of matter and spirit, of the covenant of celestial marriage, and of an ultimate goal of human godhood and the philosophical traditions of alchemy and Hermeticism, drawn from the ancient world and fused with Christianity in the Italian Renaissance."

What does God say in his word about man becoming God [human Godhood]?

Genesis 3
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

Joseph Smith fell right into the hands of Satan by believing his lie that man would not die and could become a God!

The book of Isaiah brings additional enlightenment on this. We see that it was Lucifer, who was cast out of heaven down to earth, and was cursed, who had desires of becoming like God, yet failed miserably, just like Joseph Smith.

Isaiah 14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

The book of Romans magnificently breaks down the process of idolatry, step by step, illuminating every important detail.

Romans 1
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature [creation] more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

What we have in Joseph Smith's Mormonism is idolatry, plain and simple, with a christian veneer on the surface, in an attempt to legitimize it, and to deceive those who haven't done their homework...

Next, we're going to analyze a major event in Joseph Smith's life, one that the Mormon church says "has become a central tenet of Latter-day Saint belief".

Did Joseph Smith really see God and Jesus?

What did Joseph Smith see in the woods?
"Confused about religion during a time of revival in the state of New York where he lived in 1820, 14-year-old Joseph read a passage in the New Testament and went to the woods to pray. Joseph records that God and Jesus Christ appeared to him. "I saw a pillar of light exactly over my head," he wrote, "above the brightness of the sun, which descended gradually until it fell upon me."

Within that light, he saw two personages - one of whom spoke Joseph's name, pointed to the other, and said, "This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!" Church members refer to this experience as the "First Vision." It forever changed Joseph Smith and has become a central tenet of Latter-day Saint belief. It began the work of restoring the Church of Jesus Christ to the earth."

Joseph Smith's first vision of God and Jesus

In this paragraph above, neither of the two personages explicitly say who they are, but based on the words they said, it appears that one is God and the other is his son Jesus. Assuming this is true, then what does God's word about that?

John 1:18
No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he [Jesus Christ] hath declared him [God].

I John 4:12
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Since no man has seen God, and since we know that God is telling the truth [because Hebrews 6:18 says its impossible for God to lie], we now know that the "God" that Joseph Smith saw could not be God.

Therefore, the personage that was impersonating God was lying and therefore, the other personage was not Jesus either. Since Satan is a liar and the originator of lies, these 2 personages were devil spirits that were manifested in the 5-senses realm. Their purpose is always to steal, kill, and destroy. They are always out to deceive as many as they can.

Furthermore, as covered in a previous report, Jesus was specifically commanded by God to only go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and not to any other country. Therefore, he could not have appeared to Joseph or anybody else in America or any other country other than Israel. Do you see the system of checks & balances God embedded into his word to keep us on track with his truth?

"Young Joseph was physically drained but spiritually enriched with exciting restored truth. He knew with certainty that God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, were real, for he had seen them".

How could Joseph Smith have been physically drained from such a spiritual experience, considering the nature of God's word?!?!

The NET [New English Translation] bible reads:
Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any double-edged sword, piercing even to the point of dividing soul from spirit, and joints from marrow; it is able to judge the desires and thoughts of the heart.

The following verses are from the KJV.

John 6:63
It is the spirit that quickeneth [makes alive]; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Ephesians 1
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
20 Which he wrought [energized] in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Ephesians 3
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
16 That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

Ephesians 6:10
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

"He knew with certainty that God, our Heavenly Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, were real, for he had seen them".

From a knowledge point of view, the way we know God is real is by studying his word. If we want to know that God is real experientially, then we simply practice his word that we have already studied. Its that simple.

God has already provided proof of the resurrection of Jesus Christ for us almost 2,000 years ago!

Acts 1:3
To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

How can this be, you say?

When christians mention the commandments of God, 99.99% of the people think of the 10 commandments given by Moses in the old testament. Yet, speaking in tongues is a commandment of God and is one of the "many infallible proofs" of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

I Corinthians 14
5 I would that ye all spake with tongues but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

Speaking in tongues is one of the mis-called "gifts" of the spirit. They are actually called manifestations, not gifts, when you rightly divide I Corinthians 12 and everyone who has decided to be born again can operate all 9 manifestations. That is the will of God. No one can speak in tongues unless they are born again of God's spirit.

No one could be born again of God unless the day of Pentecost happened in 28AD, which could not have happened if Jesus Christ was not ascended into heaven. You simply work your way backwards, in reverse chronological order to see that speaking in tongues is one of the many infallible proofs of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Let us consider how Satan works.

II Corinthians 11
13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Before Satan was cast down to the earth and cursed because of his pride and rebellion against God, he was Lucifer, the angel of light, so Satan's devil spirits know how to mimic God's light.

Also notice something very important - the paragraph starts out by saying that Joseph Smith was confused.

I Corinthians 14
33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
40 Let all things be done decently and in order.

James 3
14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth.
15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.
16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

We can all get confused in various situations at times, but with God's word as our light, we can always find the right path to take. Obviously, this is not the path that Joseph decided to take.

Another issue is why did Joseph Smith, who prayed to God, get an answer from Satan?

Proverbs 28:9
He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Joseph Smith was already involved in spiritualism as a teenager, using seer stones and devil spirit power to find buried treasure, which eventually caused Joseph to get arrested for fraud. This allowed Satan to answer Joseph Smith's prayer to God instead of God himself.

The great prophet Jeremiah was told by God not once, not twice, but three times NOT to pray for Israel because they were so far away from the will of God. That is why they did not get their answer to prayer in their time of need. But think about this logically - if somebody had turned their back on God, then why would they pray to him? The answer is because they were involved in hollow, empty and false religion.

Isaiah 29:13
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear [reverence] toward me is taught by the precept of men:

Jeremiah 7:16
Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee.

Jeremiah 11
7 For I earnestly protested unto your fathers in the day that I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, even unto this day, rising early and protesting, saying, Obey my voice.
8 Yet they obeyed not, nor inclined their ear, but walked every one in the imagination of their evil heart: therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do: but they did them not.

9 And the Lord said unto me, A conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
10 They are turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers, which refused to hear my words; and they went after other gods to serve them: the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken my covenant which I made with their fathers.

11 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.
12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go, and cry unto the gods unto whom they offer incense: but they shall not save them at all in the time of their trouble.

13 For according to the number of thy cities were thy gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have ye set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense unto Baal.
14 Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up a cry or prayer for them: for I will not hear them in the time that they cry unto me for their trouble.

Jeremiah 14
10 Thus saith the Lord unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the Lord doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.
11 Then said the Lord unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.
12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

Look at the contrast between the idolatrous people in Israel in Jeremiah 11:11 and I Corinthians 10:13:

Jeremiah 11:11
Therefore thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will bring evil upon them, which they shall not be able to escape; and though they shall cry unto me, I will not hearken unto them.

I Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer [allow] you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

If Joseph Smith had his heart right with God, he never would have encountered these 2 personages [devil spirits], or he would have been able to cast them away in the name of Jesus Christ.

Psalms 34:17
The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.

Psalms 107
19 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their distresses.
28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.

Joseph Smith was already walking in spiritual darkness, operating the powers of darkness, and did not truly seek the light with his whole heart.

John 3
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Everything about Joseph Smith's first vision blatantly contradicts many verses of scripture!
  1. Seeing God, whom no man has ever seen
  2. What the personage told him was a lie
  3. Being drained of energy, when multitudes of scriptures say that God strengthens us, energizes us, and makes us alive
  4. God is not the author of confusion, yet Joseph Smith was confused
  5. Satan used to be Lucifer, the angel of light, so devil spirits have the ability to counterfeit God's light
Therefore, his vision absolutely could not have originated from God, the creator of the universe and the father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

SUMMARY

  1. Joseph Smith was involved in magic at a young age. This was the open door for Satan to work deceptively in his life

  2. From a biblical and spiritual perspective, there are only 2 kinds of magic - one is just very clever tricks and the other involves the operation of devil spirits

  3. Some magic can involve drugs or potions that can open up a person's mind to devil spirit infiltration, deception, and control

  4. Joseph Smith is called a hermetic prophet, named after the god Hermes, who was noted for cunning and for fraud, perjury, and theft. Joseph Smith was guilty of all three and was convicted of fraud in court in 1826

  5. Joseph Smith was glorified more than the one true God, which is one of the classic signs of a counterfeit man of God in Acts 8

  6. Joseph Smith had paranormal abilities, which can only originate from the devil spirit realm

  7. Joseph Smith was anointed a priest, king, and God because he believed the lie from Satan that man could become a God

  8. God is not the author of confusion, yet Joseph Smith was confused

  9. Joseph Smith supposedly saw Jesus & God in his first vision, yet 2 verses of scripture say that no man has ever seen God

  10. Jesus Christ was sent ONLY to the lost sheep of the house of Israel and was forbidden to travel to any other country, thus neither one of the personages that Joseph Smith saw could have been Jesus

  11. One of the personages pointed to the other and said "this is my beloved son, hear him!" Since we know that that could not be God, it was lying, and therefore it was, in fact, a devil spirit that had manifested itself in the 5-senses realm

  12. Joseph Smith was drained after this first vision, yet that contradicts a multitude of scriptures, thus God was not the author of this vision

  13. Satan used to be the angel of light, so he knows how to counterfeit God's light

  14. Speaking in tongues is one of the 9 manifestations of holy spirit and is one of the many infallible proofs of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus there was no need to see God, which is an impossibility

SERIES SUMMARY

  1. In part 1, we saw many people mentioned in the book of Mormon do not exist in the dictionary, the bible, or the encyclopedia and are, in fact known, proven fabrications.

  2. The book of Mormon is a counterfeit bible and teaches another Jesus of a different kind. Galatians says twice that anyone who teaches another Jesus is accursed!

  3. You cannot find out that a counterfeit is a counterfeit by only studying the counterfeit. You must compare the counterfeit to the genuine in order to separate truth from error

  4. The bible has everything that pertains to life and Godliness and Jesus already completed our salvation almost 2,000 years ago, so there is absolutely no need for another bible. In the last 4 verses of the bible, God sternly warns of anybody who adds to or removes from his holy word, which includes the book of Mormon

  5. In part 2, we found out that Jesus was only sent to Israel and was forbidden to go outside it; thus, he could not have visited anybody in America, which is one of the foundational doctrines of Mormonism

  6. Therefore, the other sheep mentioned in John 10:16 have to be located within the borders of Israel, and not any other country. The Mormon's wrongly divided this verse by their own interpretation to back up their false belief that Jesus went to America

  7. Moroni was another fabricated angel, which was actually a devil spirit and even if he was a real person, he still could not have been resurrected or glorified simply by the nature of death

  8. Joseph Smith said the book of Mormon was the most correct book on earth knowing that Moroni 8:12 says there are imperfections in it. Thus the book of Mormon is an outright, deliberate religious fraud, full of contradictions and deceit

  9. In part 3, we found out that the true, original source of the book of Mormon is that it was inspired by devil spirits because Joseph Smith was heavily involved in magic, treasure seeking, masonry, and spiritualism

  10. Joseph Smith's first vision was 2 manifested devil spirits and the idea that it was God and his son Jesus is an absolute impossibility and a lie from hell

  11. From a biblical and spiritual perspective, there are only 2 kinds of magic - one is just fun and games, and the other involves the operation of devil spirits

  12. Joseph Smith believed the same lie from Satan way back in Genesis 3 that Eve believed - that a human could become a God

  13. Speaking in tongues is one of the 9 manifestations of holy spirit and is one of the many infallible proofs of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thus there was no need to see God, which is an impossibility
Final thoughts

I simply don't have time to go into all the other lies and counterfeit stuff that went into the making of the book of Mormon.

When Joseph Smith used the seer stones, the hat and the ummim and thurmim to translate the golden plates, it was all inspired by devil spirits. The one true God does not need physical objects to tell his Apostles truth. Its all a religious counterfeit inspired by devil spirits of divination and familiar spirits.

Josephs Smith's other visions of the angel Moroni were in fact more devil spirits.

I certainly hope this has been a most enlightening journey for truth for you and hope that you may be the better for it.

Ephesians 1
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Ephesians 4
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
