INTRODUCTION

This research report is about a textbook called "A course in miracles" [ACIM] that was written from 1965 - 1972 by Helen Schucman [died 1981] and she describes the course as: "A unique, universal, self-study spiritual thought system that teaches that the way to Love and Inner Peace is through Forgiveness".





This article, [and youtube video when I get it finished], is really for the remnant of believers.

Romans 11
4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.
5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

It is for the christians who carry out the theme verse of this entire site:

Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Hebrews 5
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

In just analyzing the first paragraph of the introduction alone, there's 4 concepts we're going to explore:

1. Spiritual thought system
   
2. Love
   
3. Peace
   
4. Forgiveness
   

Then there's the rest of ACIM to analyze.

We just don't have time to verify everything, but this article is the definitive guide on a course in miracles.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT SYSTEM

Why do we even need a man-made "spiritual thought system"?!

Jeremiah 2:13
For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Nobody in their right mind would leave a cool, refreshing fountain of living water and actually prefer empty and broken containers that can't hold any water!!

Therefore, their choice to do so has to be by deception, lies, darkness and error, which means there is devil spirit power behind them.

Matthew 4:4
But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

II Peter 1
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

In verse 4, the Greek word behind "exceeding great" is only used once in the entire bible.

The word of God is the one and only source of the greatest and most valuable promises ever written.

Therefore, ACIM is a broken cistern that cannot hold water.

According to the dictionary, the phrase "hold water" refers to something that proves credible, consistent, logical, or sound.

So if it can't hold water, then its just the opposite.

Helen's "spiritual thought system" is actually correct if you understand the depth and darkness of it: its a spiritual thought system inspired by devil spirits.

I have selected some key paragraphs of information off the course in miracles website that we can shine God's true light on and see the courses' true colors.

I John 2:2
And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

The standard of God's word is that we know that we know. I'm not talking about being arrogant, prideful, and boasting to everybody about how much you know - that is an ungodly attitude.

I'm talking about humbly knowing your subject matter inside & out, forwards & backwards. You have a solid rebuttal for every objection imaginable.

Ephesians 4
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:

I Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear [king james old english for reverence]:




P.S. As I continue to grow, learn and verify information, I just found out that Kenneth Wapnick, Ph.D. [died 12-2013] the clinical psychologist who authored Helen's autobiography, [see Amazon's editorial review] revealed that Helen had a love-hate relationship with both God and Jesus!!

This was a surprise, considering all the information from the ACIM website, but biblically and spiritually, its no wonder because the best counterfeits are always religious to some degree.

So now there are 2 major spiritual problems here: hate and being double-minded.

HATE

I John 2
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

The concept of blindness or darkness is mentioned no less than 5 times in only 2 verses!!

And this is if a christian hates his brother in Christ, so imagine what the degree of darkness would be when a believer hates both God and his son Jesus Christ!!

I John 1:5
This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

3 verses in I John 2 proves that Helen Schucman was walking in darkness when she produced the course in miracles.

Therefore, God, who is perfect light, could not have authored the course.



Its also proof that the entire course was founded on a lie.

I John 1:6
If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

John 15
23 He that hateth me [Jesus Christ] hateth my Father also.
24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father.
25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:

DOUBLE MINDED

James 1
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.

7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.
8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

Isaiah 33:6
And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear [reverence] of the Lord is his treasure.

Since God is always true to his word, Helen certainly did not receive the course in miracles from the one true God or his son Jesus Christ.

Therefore, it had to have originated from another spiritual source, and that leaves the devil's realm as the only possibility left.

No person in their right mind, with an accurate knowledge of God's word, could honestly say they hate God.

Helen must have believed false doctrines from false prophets.

Here are just a few of the commonly held religious beliefs that all contradict the word of God, which you can verify yourself:

The list of lies that lull us is limitless.

As stated previously, Helen says ACIM is "A unique, universal, self-study spiritual thought system that teaches that the way to Love and Inner Peace is through Forgiveness".

So she has love for and can forgive people for whatever wrongs they have committed, but yet she hated God and his perfect son Jesus Christ, indicating a total lack of love and forgiveness towards them!!

This is total hypocrisy, which also contradicts yet another verse in the bible!

Romans 12:9
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

"Dissimulation" means hypocrisy.

And this is assuming that they have done anything wrong, which is absolutely false as I John 1:5 says, "God is light, and in him is no darkness at all".

Job 1:22
In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly.

There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared [reverenced] God, and eschewed evil.

We have a God of justice, love, light and righteousness, so there is never any reason to hate him or his son Jesus Christ, who always did his father's will.

I Timothy 4:1
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

1 John 4
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.
2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

THE LOVE OF GOD VS THE LOVE OF THE WORLD

CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD'S PERFECT LOVE

Many many books could be written on the subject of God's love, so here are just a few verses and general concepts to keep in mind.

I Corinthians 13
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

Is this what the course in miracles teaches?

You be the judge.

Ecclesiastes 12
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear [reverence] God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

Look at that!

The entire duty of mankind is to keep God's commandments.



Helen says the course in miracles is a "spiritual thought system" and I Corinthians 14:37 says that if somebody considers themselves to be spiritual, then they need to know and carry out the commandments of the Lord, which includes speaking in tongues.

This is not just the 10 commandments in the old testament that were written directly to Israel, but there are many more that are written directly to Christians today in the age of grace.

What are some of God's commandments that are written directly to Christians today?

Speaking in tongues is a commandment of the Lord and doing the commandments of the Lord is God's definition of love, but does the course in miracles teach us anything about this?!

Of course not.

Galatians 5
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Matthew 6
22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

In verse 22, the word "single" comes from the Greek word Haplous [Strong's #573] and has the basic meaning of having a single, simple focus. Figuratively, it means the eye is clear. Now this verse makes so much sense and has sound logic.

By a figure of speech called an introverted parallelism where the first line corresponnds to the last, the second with the second to the last, etc.

So we hold the one we love and despise the one we hate.

Mammon comes from a Hebrew word meaning wealth or riches.

THE LOVE OF THE WORLD

James 4:4
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

I John 2
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

Look at these great words of wisdom!

I Timothy 6
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

World peace vs God's peace

GOD'S PEACE

Psalm 85:10
Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.

Psalm 119:165
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Isaiah 26:3
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Ezekiel 34:25
And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Romans 5
1 Therefore being justified by faith [believing], we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

I Peter 1
1 Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

WORLDLY PEACE

Psalm 55:21
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

Isaiah 48:22
There is no peace, saith the Lord, unto the wicked.

Jeremiah 9:8
Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait.

Jeremiah 28:9
The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the Lord hath truly sent him.

Ezekiel 13
9 And mine hand shall be upon the prophets that see vanity, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the assembly of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord God.
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

11 Say unto them which daub it with untempered morter, that it shall fall: there shall be an overflowing shower; and ye, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it.

I Thessalonians 5
1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.
4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

How a course in miracles came about

How a course in miracles came about
"How it Came
A Course in Miracles [acim] began with the sudden decision of two people to join in a common goal. Their names were Helen Schucman and William Thetford, Professors of Medical Psychology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. They were anything but spiritual. Their relationship with each other was difficult and often strained, and they were concerned with personal and professional acceptance and status".

"In general, they had considerable investment in the values of the world".

This should be a red flag, warning any Christian who knows anything about the bible, where this course in miracles [acim] is from.






James 4:4

Well that explains a lot...Helen admitted to having a love/hate relationship with God because she was a friend of the world yet was drawn to the truth of the word to some degree.

2 Timothy 4
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

1 John 2
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

"Their lives were hardly in accord with anything that the Course advocates. Helen, the one who received the material, describes herself: Psychologist, educator, conservative in theory and atheistic in belief, I was working in a prestigious and highly academic setting. And then something happened that triggered a chain of events I could never have predicted".

"The head of my department unexpectedly announced that he was tired of the angry and aggressive feelings our attitudes reflected, and concluded that, 'there must be another way.' As if on cue I agreed to help him find it. Apparently this Course is the other way.

Although their intention was serious, they had great difficulty in starting out on their joint venture. But they had given the Holy Spirit the "little willingness" that, as the Course itself was to emphasize again and again, is sufficient to enable Him to use any situation for His purposes and provide it with His power".

To continue Helen's first-person account:
"Three startling months preceded the actual writing, during which time Bill suggested that I write down the highly symbolic dreams and descriptions of the strange images that were coming to me. Although I had grown more accustomed to the unexpected by that time, I was still very surprised when I wrote, "This is a course in miracles." That was my introduction to the Voice.

It made no sound, but seemed to be giving me a kind of rapid, inner dictation which I took down in a shorthand notebook. The writing was never automatic. It could be interrupted at any time and later picked up again.

It made me very uncomfortable, but it never seriously occurred to me to stop. It seemed to be a special assignment I had somehow, somewhere agreed to complete. It represented a truly collaborative venture between Bill and myself, and much of its significance, I am sure, lies in that.

I would take down what the Voice "said" and read it to him the next day, and he typed it from my dictation. I expect he had his special assignment, too. Without his encouragement and support I would never have been able to fulfill mine. The whole process took about seven years.

The Text came first, then the Workbook for Students, and finally the Manual for Teachers. Only a few minor changes have been made. Chapter titles and subheadings have been inserted in the Text, and some of the more personal references that occurred at the beginning have been omitted. Otherwise the material is substantially unchanged."

About scribes
"Helen Schucman, Ph.D., was a clinical and research psychologist, who held the tenured position of Associate Professor of Medical Psychology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons at the Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.

A Course in Miracles was "scribed" by Dr. Schucman between 1965 and 1972 through a process of inner dictation. She experienced the process as one of a distinct and clear dictation from an inner voice, which earlier had identified itself to her as Jesus. Helen Schucman's scribing of A Course in Miracles began with these words: "This is a course in miracles, please take notes."

William Thetford, Ph.D., was a tenured Professor of Medical Psychology at Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Director of the Psychology Department at the Presbyterian Hospital in New York City for whom Dr. Schucman worked.

As her trusted friend and colleague also, Dr. Thetford assisted and supported Dr. Schucman throughout the Course's scribing, including the events that led up to it. A vital participant, Dr. Thetford acted as transcriber throughout the entire process by typing the material from the scribed notes that Dr. Schucman had taken down and would dictate to him almost daily".

"In addition, she wanted to preserve her anonymity as scribe of A Course in Miracles [acim], firmly maintaining that it should stand on its own, with the true author, Jesus, remaining its sole inspirational figure. She knew that any public recognition of her role would distract from this focus."



This is not how the one true God works!

Therefore, the God of this world Satan must be at work here.

What does God's word say about confusion?

Now were going to examine confusion in more detail and see its spiritual consequences.

Definition: disturbance, upheaval, revolution, almost anarchy, first in the political, and thence in the moral sphere.

HELPS Word-studies
181 akatastasia (from 1 /A "not," 2596 /kata, "down" and stasis, "status, standing," cf. 2476 /histemi) - properly, can not stand (remain steady); unsettled, unstable (in tumult); (figuratively) instability bringing on disorder (disturbance).

181 /akatastasia ("commotion") generates confusion (things being "out of control"), i.e. when "up for grabs." This uncertainty and tumult inevitably generates more instability.

Ephesians 6
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The word "stand" is used 3 times in this section, and "withstand" once, so 4 times we are told to stand or withstand against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Therefore, according to I Corinthians 14:33, if we are confused, by definition, we can't stand against Satan, so we must eliminate confusion if we are to be successful Christians in the spiritual competition.



Confusion also contradicts the characteristics of God's wisdom, the 9 fruit of the spirit, and the very nature of God himself.

James 3
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.

What are the 8 characteristics of God's wisdom?

So that is what God says about confusion. In that context, Helen Schucman says "I'm still cross-eyed". I don't know exactly what she was referring to, but its clear that she is not talking about her physical eyes being crossed, but instead this phrase is used figuratively, referring to a negative state of mind [which contradicts God's word].

I have a hunch that she is saying that she still doesn't understand it. Whether that was what she meant or not, the following verses still apply.

Nehemiah 8
8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
12 And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.

13 And on the second day were gathered together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law.
17 ... And there was very great gladness.



Nehemiah explained the details of the word of God to them, decently and in order, so that they finally understood it. The result was that there was a very great gladness and they had one great party to celebrate!

Ephesians 3
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,
4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

If you are confused, then you do not understand that which you are confused about. Satan can then leverage the confusion he caused against you.

Matthew 13
3 And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow;
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:


This is what happens after the confusion - Satan will steal the word of God away from you! Yet we have so much more power, knowledge and wisdom than him. Jesus Christ has already legally defeated him.



II Timothy 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Helen obviously did not have the sound mind of Christ.

"It made me very uncomfortable"

In reference to the voice she was hearing in her head, Helen said "It made me very uncomfortable".



Contrary to Helen's ungodly spiritual experiences, the bible offers us great comfort!

II Corinthians 1
3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Acts 9:31
Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear [reverence] of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost [Spirit], were multiplied.

Romans 15:4
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

I Corinthians 14:3
But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

The voice Helen Schucman heard also contradicts the wisdom of God!

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

I've studied this course, the Koran, the book of Mormon, and others, and compared them all to the bible, and not one these so-called holy books, or seminars, or courses, or systems of thought is worthy to be compared to God's perfect and eternal word.

The bible is light years ahead of all of them combined!!

The definition of a true miracle is God energizing the gift of holy spirit [incorruptible spiritual seed, which is Christ in you] within a born-again believer to carry out what the christian has been told by the revelation manifestations and results in an instantaneous supernatural and Godly impact in the lives of those involved in a given situation.

This is NOT what the course in miracles teaches at all.

It's impossible to operate any of the 9 manifestations that emanate from the gift of holy spirit without the gift of holy spirit.

You can't get any simpler than that.

In other words, receiving the gift of holy spirit is the prerequisite to operate the manifestations.

So how do you receive it?

Its extremely simple and easy.

No confession of sins, or running down to the altar in a big ceremony.

Romans 10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

In verse 9, the word for "confess" is the Greek word homologeo [Strong's # 3670] and means to speak the same thing.

In other words, what we say with our mouth must be the same as what we believe in our heart and has nothing to do with confession of sin.

You cannot get saved by simply confessing your sins. That comes from corrupt man-made systems of religion.

What actually happenens when you get born-again?

I Peter 1:23
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

The Greek word for "incorruptible" is the exact same Greek word in Romans 1:23 translated "uncorruptible".

Romans 1:23
And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

We have a spiritually incorruptible father [God], so his sons and daughters take on many of the same characteristics of God, then we are spiritually incorruptible too.

Like father, like son.

To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

There are some good, Godly and accurate principles in here and a blatant lie as well.

This is Satan's most effective strategy: cleverly blend in lies with the truth.

That way, you gain creditability from the truth, and very often the lie is either unnoticed or is believed right along with the truth.

Without an accurate knowledge of the truth, its impossible to separate truth from error.

Ultimately, there was a devil spirit called an antichrist spirit behind the course in miracles because it contradicts [is against] what Jesus Christ taught.

So, do you want to feel "very uncomfortable" or "have boldness and access with confidence"?

Now we are going to find out more about the voice and what God's word says about it.

It was as if Helen had waited all her life for this particular moment, which triggered a series of internal experiences for her that carried through the summer. These included heightened dream imagery, psychic episodes, visions, and an experience of an inner voice.

This period of preparation culminated on the evening of October 21, 1965, when the now familiar voice of Jesus said to Helen: "This is a course in miracles, please take notes." Troubled, she called Bill immediately, and he reassured her that she was not going mad.



We don't need to have spiritual religious experiences because God has already revealed his will in writing.

The very first words Jesus Christ spoke at the beginning of his ministry was, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God".

What are "psychic episodes"?

"When I was with her, when she was going to like another state, her mind would be like, her mind would be like before her brain, her face would be devoid of all like emotion uh and she would talk...it was helen's voice, but it was not Helen."

There are only 2 great, general realms or categories in life: the 5-senses and the spiritual. The 5-senses realm, as the name implies, is the area where we can see, smell, hear, taste or touch things. The spiritual realm is divided up into 2 areas: God's and the devil's.

By definition # 3, 4, & 5, psychic must refer to the spiritual realm, so that means her psychic episodes either involve the one true God, who is the creator of the universe and the father of the Lord Jesus Christ, or the devil and his army of devil spirits.

There are approximately 35 different categories, or types of devil spirits.

Here are just some of the devil spirits that were in Helen Schucman's life and inspired her to write ACIM [a course in miracles]:

1. Devil spirit of divination: [definition - the practice of attempting to foretell future events or discover hidden knowledge by occult or supernatural means]; Numbers 22:7 & Acts 16:16
2. Fallacious spirit: from root word fallacy>>a false or deceptive belief, notion, etc; inclined towards worldly wisdom, which contradicts God's wisdom [James 3]
3. Spirit of hallucination: an illusion; false impressions or perceptions of the mind; Job 4:12-21 describes a vision caused by this devil spirit; involves clairaudience and clairevoyance;
4. Lying spirit: often works with Antichrist spirits to accomplish the devil's goal to steal, kill and destroy; always contradicts the word of God to cause doubt, division and confusion
5. Antichrist spirit: the prefix "anti" literally means against; its against Christ; these spirits are behind new age beliefs, eastern religions and ACIM that teach that you are one with the universe and don't need a savior, there is no devil or evil, etc; this also contradicts our sonship right of sanctification, being set apart by God from the evil world

Technically, there really is no such thing as "psychic".

Its just a deceptive euphemism specifically designed to hide the works of Satan and the dark, harsh reality of his nature.

Psychic can only refer to the spiritual realm, and there are only 2 diametrically opposed parts: God's and the devil's. Once you have a precise knowledge and understanding of God's word, then separating truth from error becomes child's play.

There are many other examples of euphemisms in our culture, such as when we say that somebody is gay instead of calling them a homosexual.

For example, in dentistry, they say you have a silver filling or an amalgam filling.

Silver has many positive properties:

1. It is classified as a precious metal. As such, it can be a financial investment and is often associated with gold, one of the most sought-after metals.
2. Has the highest thermal and electrical conductivity of any metal
3. Has the highest reflectivity of any metal
4. Can be used in the medical industry as a highly effective antibiotic in the form of colloidal silver
5. The word "amalgam" is a soft, gentle, smooth-sounding word
6. The harsh reality is that "silver" amalgam fillings are actually 50% mercury, one of the most toxic substances known to man.

This is how the devil operates.

When we are dealing with such spiritual matters, we must constantly be aware of how the spirit of God works vs how the adversary, Satan, works.

I Corinthians 14:32
And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.

The gift of holy spirit nor the one true God will never control us. We operate the power of God by our freedom of will 100% of the time.

Proverbs 6:18
An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

These wicked imaginations don't originate in our minds - they originate from devil spirits.

In the first paragraph, Helen states that she was a psychologist. What can we find out from the bible about psychology?



Don't get me wrong, there are a few isolated pieces of accurate and useful information in psychology, but for the most part, it tries to determine cause & effect, make empirical observations, and draw conclusions that are rooted in the spiritual realm and therefore, the conclusions are wrong because of a false premise to begin with.

Second, Helen states she is an atheist.

Infidel means an unbeliever, especially a nonbeliever in Islam or Christianity. A skeptic doubts and is critical of all accepted doctrines and creeds".


Hebrews 6:18
That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

However, the devil is a liar.

John 8:44
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

The usage of the word "father" in this verse is a figure of speech, a Hebrew idiom and refers to the originator of the thing referred to in the verse.


Therefore, this voice ultimately has to come from Satan. Do you see how quick, simple and logical that is when you know that you know what God says? Life is too short to be deceived a lifetime. We don't have time for this when its possible to separate truth from error in a matter of seconds.

The reason people can't separate truth from error is because they are walking in spiritual darkness, but once you walk in God's light, you can immediately see what is going on and take appropriate action.

Acts 26:18
To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.


So, how do we know that Helen can't be in direct spiritual communication with God or Jesus? Its time to explain a few fundamental truths about life.

Genesis 2:7
And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

All human bodies are made up of the chemical elements that are in the ground. If you are alive and breathing, then you have a soul. Your soul is that which makes you an alive person. It gives you your intellect, your personality, and the ability to process information. That is why you can talk to yourself.

Luke 12:19
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.

Acts 27:37
And we were in all in the ship two hundred threescore and sixteen souls.

So there were 276 alive people on this ship.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Body, soul and spirit: 3 fundamentals of life you must know

What did God do in Genesis 1:27 when he created man in his own image? Since God is the HOLY SPIRIT, he created the gift of holy spirit upon Adam.

Isaiah 43:7
Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

Now look how perfectly this verse in Isaiah dovetails in with this verse in Thessalonians!

I Thessalonians 5:23
And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Here's how this works:

1. God formed our bodies out of the dust of the ground
2. he made our souls
3. he created the gift of holy spirit upon Adam

That's very important. When the fall of man happened in Genesis 3, Adam and Eve lost the gift of holy spirit because it was upon them on a condition.

Genesis 2
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

However, if you read past Genesis 3, you will see that Adam lived several hundred years later, so how could he have died? He died spiritually. He lost the gift of holy spirit that was upon him because he was a son of God by adoption, not birth.

If you adopt a child into your family, but sometime later, some severe problems arise that are simply intolerable and cannot be fixed, you can file papers, go to court, etc and undo the adoption. That child is no longer a part of your family again. He does not have any genetic connection with you.

That is what happened to Adam and Eve. They committed treason against God and lost the gift of holy spirit that was upon them on the condition that they could do anything they wanted except eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil [no it wasn't an apple. The tree was figurative.]

So God is Spirit. The bible refers to him as THE HOLY SPIRIT. As such, he can only directly communicate with that which he is - holy spirit. Therefore, God cannot directly communicate to your brain cells because God is in the spiritual realm and your brain is in the physical realm.

So in order for God to communicate with us, he must have some kind of connection, or bridge that can penetrate the barrier between the two realms [no, its not a worm-hole that you drive a spaceship through!].

So, what are the design requirements of this connection with God? Logically then, the connection between God and man must consist of holy spirit, [since that is the only thing God can have a direct spiritual communication with], and that holy spirit must also somehow have the ability to communicate with our physical brains. How is this possible?

On the day of Pentecost in 28A.D., in Jerusalem Israel, was the very first time that it was possible for a person to be born again of God's spirit, but what does that mean?

John 3
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

First off, God gave the gift of holy spirit unto Jesus, his only begotten son, without measure, which means there were no limitations to it. As born again believers, as sons of God by birth [instead of by adoption], we have this same gift without measure.

Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

The phrase "every man" is not every man without any exceptions, but is every man with distinction.

In other words, it is referring to every man within a particular group of people. The book of Romans is specifically addressed to those who have decided to become a son of God by being born again of God's spirit. That is the particular group of people.

Otherwise, everybody would be born again, which is an impossibility. Proof of that is the fact that Helen Schucman openly admitted to being an atheist.

Jesus Christ was a perfect man, born by divine conception. When we are born again, we are born by divine conception too.


I Peter 1:23

The exact same Greek word for "incorruptible" in I Peter 1:23 is translated "uncorruptible" in Romans.

Our incorruptible gift of holy spirit comes from an incorruptible God, our father, The Holy Spirit.

Like father, like son.

What is the nature of God's incorruptible seed?

Colossians 1
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

That's right, when we get born again of God's spirit, we get Christ in us, the hope of glory! That is why that gift of holy spirit is such a great connection: since it is holy spirit, it can communicate directly with God, who is THE HOLY SPIRIT, but since it is also incorruptible spiritual seed within us, it is an inseparable part of us as well.

Therefore, it can communicate to our brain cells also. Thus we have a spiritual connection with God that meets both requirements: God talks to the gift of holy spirit within us, then that spirit communicates to our minds what God is telling us.

Philippians 2:5
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

When we are born again of God's spirit, we have the mind of Christ. God communicated with Jesus Christ, and since we have Christ in us, and have the mind of Christ, God can communicate with us too.

In the old testament, it was the job of the high priest to make intercession to God for God's people in the holy of holies, the deep inner court of the temple.

Jesus Christ is a high priest, after the order of Melchizedek. Since we have Christ in us, that gift of holy spirit makes intercession for us between God and us.

Romans 8
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

I Timothy 2
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Jesus Christ is the mediator between God and man, and being a man, and a high priest, he can bridge the gap between God and man.


God gives all of us the freedom of will.

I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Speaking of life and death, there is no such thing as purgatory!!! See the 6 biblical proofs here.

Here are some very simple instructions on how to get born again, how to become a son of God by birth and receive the gift of holy spirit and eternal life.

8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Once we have an accurate knowledge of God's word, separating God's truth from Satan's lies becomes:

* SIMPLE
* EASY
* LOGICAL


What are just some of the consequences of Helen's choice to reject God?

• The inability to communicate with God or his son Jesus Christ
• The inability to understand spiritual matters
• Spiritual darkness and blindness
• Inability to separate truth from error
• Being without God and having no hope in this world
• Living in confusion and deception

I Corinthians 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

The bible defines the natural man as somebody who is only body and soul. They have rejected the gift of holy spirit. Therefore, without the gift of holy spirit from God, they do not have the ability to understand the spiritual things of God.

[That's not rocket science, its just common sense and biblical truth]. They are walking in spiritual darkness and cannot see at all. They cannot tell the difference between truth and error because they are spiritually blind. That is why Helen couldn't tell whether or not this Jesus was the real Jesus or a counterfeit one.

Now let's get back to the voice. She refers to the voice of Jesus as an "it" 4 times, putting a cold, clinical, and unfamiliar distance between her and "it".

"She experienced the process as one of a distinct and clear dictation from an inner voice, which earlier had identified itself to her as Jesus". In other words, until this voice identified itself as Jesus, she did not recognize it.

John 10
3 To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.

14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

SUMMARY

1. The inner voice Helen Schucman heard "confused me no end. I'm still cross-eyed". This contradicts a multitude of scriptures & since God is the author of the bible, the voice could not have been from him or his son Jesus.
   
   
2. Confusion is a psychological weapon of Satan designed to prevent believers from standing against Satan with God's superior power.
